ReyLight flashlight programming guide with tail switch programming instructions

ReyLight Flashlight Programming Guide – Easy Step-by-Step Instructions

Custom Settings / Programming Guide

Your ReyLight flashlight allows you to customize its brightness levels and operating behavior using the tail switch. No computer or app is required.

Enter Programming Mode

  1. Turn the flashlight on.

  2. Quickly half-press (tap) the tail switch 8 or more times.

  3. The flashlight will begin flashing to indicate the programming options.

A half-press means lightly pressing the switch without clicking it all the way down.

The flashlight will cycle through five settings:

  • 1 flash – Select a brightness group

  • 2 flashes – Mode memory ON/OFF

  • 3 flashes – Moonlight mode ON/OFF

  • 4 flashes – Change mode order

  • 5 flashes – Factory reset

After each flash sequence, there will be a quick "buzz" or rapid flash. Tap the switch during this rapid flash to select that setting.

1. Select a Brightness Group

Wait for:

1 flash → rapid flash

Tap the switch during the rapid flash.

You can then choose from four brightness groups:

Group 1: Moonlight → 2% → 20% → 100%
Group 2: Moonlight → 10% → 40% → 100%
Group 3: Moonlight → 2% → 10% → 50%
Group 4: Moonlight → 50% → 100% → Strobe → SOS

Tap the switch when the flashlight indicates the group you want.

2. Mode Memory

Default: OFF

Wait for:

2 flashes → rapid flash

Tap during the rapid flash to turn Mode Memory ON or OFF.

When Mode Memory is ON, the flashlight remembers the brightness level you used before turning it off.

3. Moonlight Mode

Default: ON

Wait for:

3 flashes → rapid flash

Tap during the rapid flash to turn Moonlight mode ON or OFF.

Moonlight provides a very low brightness level for close-range use.

4. Change Mode Order

Default: Low → Medium → High

Wait for:

4 flashes → rapid flash

Tap during the rapid flash to reverse the brightness order.

For example:

Normal: Moonlight → Low → Medium → High
Reversed: Moonlight → High → Medium → Low

Repeat the same procedure to change it back.

5. Factory Reset

If you are unsure which settings have been changed, you can restore the flashlight to its default configuration.

Wait for:

5 flashes → rapid flash

Tap during the rapid flash to perform a factory reset.
