A clever new design from Sofirn, the SC03 combines a longer range flashlight with a top output of 2000 lumens, (range of up to 508 metres), with a built in lantern cleverly added to the head shape, without making the head shape a strange or awkward design. The lantern mode can output as high a 550 lumens, with a 360 degree spread out beam pattern, which gives a smooth and even flood light (range is 17 metres at 550lm).
Sofirn are using a rechargeable high capacity 21700 Li-ion battery (4000mAh), which can power the SC03 for 150 hours (thrower/flashlight mode 10lm) or 270 hours in lantern mode (low 2lm level). Type C charging port is built in, and can also be used as a power bank for phones and other items.
A weather resistance rating of IPX-8 for use in all types of weather even harsh/heavy rain. A solid durable aluminum alloy body will ensure reliable operation over the years.

Both modes have 4 power levels each, giving the user a wide spread of outputs from a powerful 2000 lumens at the top Turbo mode (Thrower), which can reach a genuinely impressive 508 metres range, a high of 1000 lumens, medium of 350 lumens, and a low of 10 lumens for closer activities.
Thrower mode has an angle of 11.9 degrees.
In the Lantern mode levels range from a power conserving 2 lumens, a medium and high of 50lm and 200lm, with a Turbo mode of 550 lumens. Both modes also offer a strobe function.

Easy UI with single side switch
Operating a dual source flashlight, there is a clear need for simplicity. Fortunately Sofirn have managed this with the large well placed side switch. A long press turns the light On/Off (with a memory for the last setting), single quick presses cycle the levels, and a single press for the battery level check (when turned Off). You can switch between the Thrower and Lantern mode with a double press. It also features a quick access strobe mode, with a triple press on the switch.
A lock-out is also available to prevent accidental operation.
Charging is via a Type C port, and this model also has a power bank function you can use it to top up/charge your phone or other device.
Sofirn are using the robust 6061-T6 aluminum alloy material for the main body, this is heat treated and toughened to withstand marks and damage. The weather resistance rating is IPX-8 which will resist even a heavy water downpour on the flashlight. Impact tested to 1 metre.
