Updated and enhanced, the newer Kunai version of the E26 wedge style flashlight has some notable improvements over the original, including a higher output of 3000 lumens and a longer range beam. It retains the same popular tactical tail switch and rotary control.
Available with a choice of colors, Black, Green or Orange.
Featuring 5 power levels for the main white light output, up to 3000 lumens in power, with a range of 270m, a notable improvement over the first version. Strobe and Green beam are also present.
Built in Li-ion battery has a rating of 1700mAh, with a runtime up to 39 hours at the lowest level of 20 lumens. With fast USB-C charging it has convenient charge level indicators/LEDs built in.
Body is well designed with grooves in the side for additional grip, and fins provide a larger surface area to improve thermal management of the flashlight.
Jetbeam are known for their quality finish, and the E26 Kunai has aero grade HA III type hardened aluminum alloy, with a glass cover for the LEDs with anti reflective coatings and hard ceramic beads for glass breaking in an emergency.
They’ve tested it to a drop distance of 1.5 metres, and IPX8 water resistant to 2 metres submersion.
It’s still slim and very pocket friendly, with a size of 131mm x 32mm x 16mm, weight of 115g (including built in battery).
Dual SFT40 LEDs with 270m range, green laser, and rotary control dial
By using the 2 x SFT40 LEDs, power and range have increased, yet 5 levels allow users to pick an appropriated power output to suit. Range goes from an ultra low of 20 lumens, 300 and 700 lumens for low to mid, with the top levels of 1300 and 3000 lumens.
Strobe is also rated for 3000 lumens, and the green pointer is a 5mW laser unit, which can run for 15 hours and is useful for presentations of demonstrations.
Flashlight also have very low standby current, and can last up to 300 days on a single charge.
Tailcap switch is a dual stage design for a half and full press (instant access to high/strobe/momentary), with the rotary selection dial on the side, with the button in the middle making a very nice UI for users, whilst giving some tactical control too. This dial can also lock the light out for safe transportation, and the middle button picks the power output.
The stainless steel clip is removable and can be mounted in 2 positions, this lets you use the light as a cap light or for a pocket carry.
