An unusual design on the XP22, which is called Scorpion for a reason! The shape resembles that creature very closely.This high grade weapon light has dual head/LEDs with a rated output of 400 lumens and 230 metres beam range.
It has a high capacity built in rechargeable battery (900mAh), which is charged via a USB magnetic cable. A unique large tail switch for rapid operation, and access to a strobe mode too. Run times are up to 70 minutes (high 400 lumens), and 100 minutes (strobe 400 lumens).
Using aircraft quality aluminum alloy body, the XP22 is tough and well able to deal with weapon recoil, it’s also been drop tested to 10 metre, with a weather resistance rating of IP66. Even in heavy rain downpours it will continue to operate without issues.
Size is 74mm x 102.1mm (2.91” x 4.02”), and a weight of just 100g (3.53oz) including the battery.
Dual LED output 400 lumens with a range of 230 metres
Many weapon lights have a single LED for output, yet here Brinyte have gone with a dual LED design, which has some advantages in terms of the beam profile, and it’s lower profile shape.
With a candela of 13,250cd, it has a good mix of range and spread, and the rated 400 lumens output can reach as far as 230 metres. A tactical strobe is also featured (same 400 lumens output). With tempered glass lenses to protect the LEDs and provide long term endurance.
A secure rail slot attaches firmly the weapon, this is compatible with picatinny rails and features a screw/spring design which will not loosen or come undone by accident or by weapon recoil.
Large well placed switch for rapid operation
The oversized switch on the back is easy to reach even with gloves on, and features a simple UI. A single click to turn on light on, a double press starts the strobe, and a single press stops it.
Momentary is also available (when off), just long press the switch to turn the light on, and when it is released it stops.An electronic lock out prevents accidental operation, or when transporting the unit.
By using a USB magnetic system the built in 900mAh battery can be quickly charged. Thanks to the built in battery level indicator you can clearly see when the charging is in progress and completed.
A tough aluminum body with IP66 weather resistance and 1 metre drop testing will ensure this weapon light will last for many years service.
