A portable and compact model from Cyansky, the P50R offers a very powerful output of 12000 lumens using an array of 4 LEDs, and achieves a range of up to 328 metres.
With a built in ambient sensor, this prevents heat damage to close objects such as a bag or pocket. The flashlight drops the power level when it detects items nearby. It’s a useful safety feature.
There are 5 power levels in total from a low or 50 lumens up to the Turbo of 120000. A strobe mode is also here (6000 lumens) A run time up to 50hours is possible at the low 50 lumens level.
It uses the popular 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery, this is rated to a high capacity of 4000mAh, and is charged in the flashlight via the built in type-C charging port.
Quality materials are used in this model with the heat treated A6061-T6 aluminum alloy (aero grade) and features an anti wear treatment to the surface. Rated to IP68 dust and water resistance (2 metres submersion), it’s also been drop tested to 2 metres. For battery protection, the P50R has dual gold plated springs which can help absorb impacts. It can operate in temperatures from 55 degrees Celsius down to -30.
Despite the high power output, the P50R flashlight is quite compact in size and easy to carry around at just 140mm x 40.5mm x25.4mm (length x head x body diameter). And a weight of 162g (no battery).
5 Power levels with a range of 328 metres, and a single side switch UI
A wide range of levels gives users control over how much power they need. With range of 50, 200, 800 lumens for the lower to mid levels. There are two high output modes of High II 2000 lumens, and the top output of 12000 lumens.
With 4 x Cree XHP50.3 LEDs the candela is rated to 26896 (at the Turbo output). Beam profile has a mixed character with a blend of spread and range, suitable for many uses. It has a spotlight of 20 degrees and a flood of 90 degrees.
The metal side switch is a simple UI, with a memory function and quick access to the strobe mode. And has a lock-out function. It also has a built in power level indicator with 4 stages: Green, Flashing Green, Red, Flashing Red. Alerting users to how much capacity is left in the battery.
USB C port is built in for rapid charging, it has a protective cover and charge indicator.
A newly designed strike bezel has a crenulated edge for self defence and glass breaking in an emergency. With anti reflective coatings on the hardened glass cover, help ensure light transmission of 98% for improved beam performance.
Cyansky have also made deep grooves in the head for superior thermal management, and an anti slip body design with flat edges to resist rolling.
