It’s the upgraded version of the HT18 flashlight, it has a number of improvements including a more powerful beam (up from 1500 lumens to 2800 lumens), longer range beam (925 metres to 1100 metres), dual tail switch operation, and USB C charging.
Featuring 4 power levels with a top output of 2800 lumens, it has a low mode down to 30 lumens and 2 strobe modes (SOS and normal Strobe). Run times are up to 42 hours in the low mode (30lm).
It’s powered by a single high capacity 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery (5000mAh), and with the USB C charging port it’s quick and easy to recharge this cell. Accurate battery level information is provided by the build in LED on the flashlight body (4 stages using a Green/Red LED). It’s compatible with 18650 cells (via the ALF-18 battery adapter).
Top end build quality from Fenix with premium A6061-T6 aluminum alloy, with a hard HAIII anodized finish to prevent marks and scratches. it’s IP68 rated to 2 metres water resistance, and drop tested to 1 metre. This powerful flashlight can be used with confidence in all types of weather.

Up to 1100 metres range with 4 Power levels and 2 Strobe modes
With a deep smooth reflector the Fenix is a capable longer range thrower, with a high candela of 300,000cd, it’s punches far into the distance with up to 1100 metres range. 3 more power levels are available with a high of 1000 lumens, medium of 350 lumens, and a much needed low mode of 30 lumens, this helps when using the light at closer distances. Even at the low mode of 30 lumens it can reach 100 metres range!
Two strobes modes the standard flashlight strobe for emergency use is rated to 2600 lumens, with the SOS at 150 lumens.
With the included filters, the Red/Green is ideal for hunting or search and rescue operations. Animals find these colors are less distracting then normal white light.
UI is very intuitive, with the new Dual switch tail cap, you have quick and simple control over the HT18R. Main switch for momentary, and On/Off, with the smaller oval switch controling the power levels.
