This flashlight from Fenix combines their stylish yet simple design/operation, with a powerful longer range beam capable of hitting up to 420 metres range, in a compact and lightweight body.
The TK11R flashlight is designed to be a simple easy to use Tactical flashlight, with 4 modes in total (3 power levels and a strobe mode). Both switches are conveniently places on the base or tail cap area for ease of access.
It’s powered by a high capacity 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery (rated to 3400mAh), and can run for as long as 25.5 hours in the lowest level (30 lumens), it’s also possible to use 2 x CR123A (16340) cells in the flashlight. Useful as an emergency or spare back up power source.
It’s also compatible with many Fenix accessories including traffic wands, weapon mounts and remote triggers.
Type C charging port has a cover to protect from dust and water, and features an LED next to the port showing the battery/charge status clearly.
A high grade body material is used in the TK11R, with A6061-T6 Aluminum alloy with a type HAIII hard anodized finish, resists marks and damage.
IP68 dust and water resistance, it’s drop tested to 1 metre, with 2 metres water submersion.
For such a long range throw, the Fenix is quite small at just 145.5mm x 34mm x 23.5mm (length x head x body diameter), and a weight of 117.5g (no battery)
Up to 420 Metres Range with a simple Dual Tactical Tail switch UI
The long range beam of the Fenix is made possible with the Luminus SFT40 LED, combined with a smooth highly polished reflector, giving a candela of 45,000cd and beam of 420 metres in the Turbo 1600 lumens mode. Even at medium 350 lumens, the flashlight can still reach 200 metres range.
The two tail cap switches offer rapid and simple UI for the user. The main larger round switch is the On/Off and momentary mode with a half press (full press to turn On/Off), the oval shaped switch below it offers quick access to the strobe mode, and the ability to cycle through the 3 power levels.
