New updated model from Fenix, the V2.0 of the popular PD36R has a number of improvements, including a higher output, longer range, and faster charging speeds.
It features 5 power levels with the top Turbo output of 1700 lumens, with a maximum reach of 396 metres, and a strobe mode for emergency use.
Dual switches with a classic U shaped tail switch and side switch.
Using a 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery (ARB-L21-5000 rated to 5000mAh), it can run for an impressive 482 hours (Eco mode 5 lumens). With a built in type C charging port, the Fenix supports faster charging speeds, it can charge the cell from flat to full in around 2.5 hours.
High grade body design with plenty of knurling for superior grip, a stainless steel double clip and strong A6061-T6 aluminum alloy, with a HAIII coating for wear and mark resistance.
Fenix have rated it to IP68 dust and water resistance, up to 2 metres water submersion, and a drop test rating of 1 metre.
Size of the PD36R V2.0 Flashlight is 140.7mm x 26.5mm x 25.5mm (length x head x body diameter), Weight is a modest 167g (including the battery).
5 Power levels with a maximum range of 396 metres
Fenix are using the popular Luminus SFT40 LED (color temperature is 6500K), with a high candela of 39,240cd giving it an impressive range of almost 400 metres. A significant upgrade to the first version which was 283 metres.
5 levels in total with a well spread out power distribution, from a super low Eco mode of 5 lumens, up to 50, 350, 800 and the top level Turbo of 1700 lumens. A strobe mode is also present (also rated to 1700 lumens output).
UI is very easy to pick up, a U shape tail cap makes for easy location of the main power switch. This controls the On/Off and Momentary, with the metal bronze color side switch giving you access to the levels, and quick access to strobe too. A mode memory is also present, and the side switch has a built in LED giving you charge/battery level indicators (green/amber/red).
