Designed to be a smaller pocket friendly EDC size, but retaining a powerful and longer range beam, the TK05R is a new generation of compact flashlights.
3 main levels give you the high mode of 1000 lumens, down to a low of 30 lumens. Strobe is also here.
It’s using a high capacity 18350 Li-ion battery (1100mAh), with a Type C port built into the side of the flashlight for convenient charging. Up to 14 hours and 30 minutes run time is possible (low mode 30 lumens).
Premium finishing as usual from Fenix, with top quality Aluminum alloy for the main body (A6061-T6) with type HAIII anodized treatment for superior mark/wear resistance. Stainless steel clip. Glass lens cover with anti reflective coatings for improved light transmission.
It’s rated to IP68 water and dust resistance, and has been drop tested to 1 metre.
This small form factor is only 115mm x 32mm x 23.5mm (length x head x body diameter), weight of 124g (with battery).
3 Power levels and Strobe, with a long range of 450 metres
Fenix are using an Ostram CSLPM1.TG LED with a high candela rating thanks to a newly designed reflector, it’s rated to 50,600cd which can deliver up to 450 metres range with it’s 1000 lumen output, a very impressive feat for such a compact light. This longer range thrower is in contrast to many EDC models which have a more spread out beam.
Power levels are 1000lm, 350lm, and 30lm, with strobe rated to 1000lm.
UI is using dual tactical style tail switches, with a larger and smaller button, easy to feel which switch you are using. And it gives instant access to momentary and strobe modes. With a mode memory being included too. Simple and effortless for single handed operation.
The flashlight also has charge/battery level indicators built in.
