A new generation of flashlights from Fitorch are emerging and the P30C is the newest addition to their range. Based very much on a tactical body design (with the U shape tail cap), it features a dual switch design with the side switch in addition to the tail cap one.
5 Power levels range from an Eco mode of 10 lumens, all the way up to the Turbo mode which reaches 1600 lumens and a range of 265 metres. Run times are up to 118 hours in Eco mode (10lm).
The flashlight is powered via a supplied 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery, this is charged in the flashlight thanks to the Type C charging port just below the head.
A high quality finish is made possible with a HAIII hard coating over the heat treated anodized aluminum body, this helps prevent damage and wear and tear. Fitorch have also drop tested it to 1 metre, and it’s rated to IPX-8 water resistance for use in all weather conditions.
This is a nice size for a pocket carry too at 143.2mm x 34.8mm x 25.4mm (length x head x body diameter), and a weight of 130g (without battery).
5 Power levels with 2 Strobe modes
Using the well respected Cree XPL2 LED, the P30C offers a total of 5 power levels ranging from Eco at 10 lumens, Low and Medium at 50 lumens and 180 lumens, then the high level of 700 lumens up to the top output which reaches a blazing 1600 lumens for a powerful beam output.
This model can reach up to 265 metres, with a candela of 17,155cd it has a mixed beam profile which gives a good balance between range and spread, making it well suited for general purpose use.
Also included are 2 strobe modes, the standard rapid flashing strobe and an SOS mode for emergency signalling.
Charging is via USB type C connection, this is a very common type and also supports quicker charging speeds. Fitorch have also included a power/charge level indicator built into the side switch. This LED has a ring around the main switch in 3 colors Green, Amber and Red. It can also blink out a voltage display (1.0V with Green and 0.1V Red) giving you an accurate voltage reading on the battery.
2 Switches for quick operation
Using the U shaped tactical design and a tail cap switch to turn the flashlight On/Off, the Fitorch is an easy one to operate. Once on the metal side switch (which is large and easy to find), can be pressed quickly to cycle the 5 power levels.
Access to the strobe modes is simply a case of holding the side switch in for half a second, with a double press to go directly to Turbo mode. As usual a mode memory is also present.
Strong build on this model is in part down to the heat treated aluminum alloy body. But it also features a stainless steel strike bezel, which is useful for self defense and for glass breaking in an emergency.
IPX8 rated weather resistance in all conditions including water submersion for up to 1 metre, and it’s dust/moisture sealed too.
Fitorch also include an extensive bundled including a quality holster, spare O ring and tail cap covers, a clip and lanyard in addition to the charging cable and 18650 battery.
