A new entry into the popular and growing “wedge style” flashlight arena, the E90 from RovyVon adds some useful extras that some other models don’t have.
In addition to the dual White LED’s, which are rated to 3500 lumens maximum output (and includes a strobe mode), it also features an array of 3 LED outputs on the front, with a Neutral White (5000K similar to daylight color balance), a 650nm Red LED output for night vision preservation, and a 365nm power UV light which is ideal for detecting dirt/liquids, counterfeit notes and other items for personal or forensic use.
A built in proximity sensor ramps the power down should an object be too close, this helps to prevent any potential issues with accidental activation or burning through items.
Built in battery is a high capacity 3000mAh Li-PO type, which is charged via the USB -C charging port built into the side of the flashlight.
A special ergonomic design is both modern and attractive with angled edges, with additional grip on the sides provided by grooves in the body.
Two way pocket clip is pre-attached, but cal also be removed if you wish.
Quality materials are used throughout the construction, with aero grade 6063 aluminium alloy, with additional HAIII type hard anodising treatment providing a hard layer resistant to marks and damage. The switches are made from stainless steel, and have a PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition) to preserve their appearance.
Rated to IP68 water and dust resistance, the E90 is also drop tested to 1.5 metres. With a slim profile it’s just 130.6mm x 29mm x 14.8mm (length x width x height), and a weight of just 104.8g.
3 Side Light LED’s, Neutral White, Red and UV Light
As well as the expected main light output of 3500 lumens (Cool white 6500-7000K), the triple output front LED’s provide useful Neutral White, Red and UV. Giving you a flexible tool in one devices which can be used in many situations.
Unlike many wedge type models, not only does this have 4 types of light output, but it also has a unique UI, with 3 switches, two on the top (different sizes making them easy to feel even with gloves on), and a recessed side switch help prevent accidental activation. Momentary and Strobe modes are taken out of the main power levels and are activated separately for an improved user experience.
A 4 stage battery/charge level indicator is built into the front of the flashlight, with superior endurance thanks to it’s larger battery and useful auxiliary LEDs, the RovyVon will be a popular model in this slim wedge style range.
