A relatively compact yet high performance headlamp from Sofirn, which offers an array of LEDs built in, this makes it a very unique offering, but it remains very affordable too.
A total of 10 LED’s are embedded into the headlamp, with 7 high performance white ones, and 3 red.
It also offers a choice of beam output, with 5 power levels with the main White LEDs, with Floodlight, Spotlight and combined Flood/Spot, top level is 2200 lumens, and up to 230 metres range. It features a built in sensor which allows for hand activation on the light output, making it a good choice for work, on a bike, fishing and camping.
Uses the common 18650 battery standard, with type C charging on the headlamp with charge/battery level LED indicators.
Included headband is wide, with a strap on the top part to provide additional comfort and secure fitting to the head.
Main headlamp is made from AL 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy body with hard type III anodising finish. Rating is IP66 water and dust resistance, with a drop test of 1 metre.
Size is still fairly modest at only 86.5mm x 45.7mm x 35.7mm, and it’s only 87g (without battery).
Triple output Floodlight, Spotlight and Red Light, up to 230 metres range
White LED output has 5 main levels with the lowest at 2 lumens up to 2200 lumens (Spot/Flood combined), in Flood the top power output is 1200 lumens, and 2000 lumens in Spotlight.
By using various beam profiles you can get more range, a longer more focussed beam, or a spread out wider one lighting up a larger area, or simply combine the output for a mixture of beam patterns.
Red light has 5 levels from 0.5 lumens up to 100 lumens, which is a good output for Red light making it very usable for travelling and use up to 25 metres range (top level), also featured is a strobe mode.
There is a single switch and a rotary switch which selects the light output, (other switch controls the mode and IR sensor) a simple and effective way to operate the headtorch.
