This is the new version of Thrunite’s Black Scout Survival tactical flashlight giving users a well crafted but EDC friendly light. Compared to the V5, this updated offering has an improved switch design, and slightly longer range (259 v 255 metres), additional knurling on the tail cap also gives more grip when removing the battery.
Choice of Cool or Neutral White LED’s, higher output and range or the higher CRI light, with more accurate colors.
V6 features 5 levels up to the headline 2000 lumens in Turbo mode, a strobe is also present for emergency use.
Powered by a high capacity 18650 Li-ion battery, it’s rated to 3400mAh for longer run times, up to 45 hours in low mode (25 lumens). A built in USB-C charging port and cover are on the flashlight, giving you quick and easy charging of the cell.
Thrunite have a classic tactical design on the V6, with body knurling for a secure grip, a stainless steel double clip and removable strike bezel for self defence or glass breaking. Made from durable aluminum alloy type III hardened and AL 6061-T6, it’s a rugged light which is also rated to IPX-8 water resistance (up to 2 metres), and drop tested to 1.5 metres.
EDC friendly in size it’s 145.8mm x 24.5mm x 25.4mm, weight of 97.3g (no battery).
5 Power levels and strobe mode, with a range of up to 259 metres
Thrunite have gone for a mixed beam pattern on the V6, with a moderate candela of 16,800cd, this gives a good combination of spread and range making it suitable for a wide variety of uses. Range at the top level of 2000 lumens is around 259 metres.
5 Levels are available down to a firefly mode of 0.5 lumens for up close activities.
UI is using a tactical tail switch, and side switch, which is intuitive and simple. Mode memory, quick access to strobe and firefly modes are available.
The metal side switch has a battery/charge LED indicator build in.
