This compact EDC style flashlight from Wurkkos is designed for users who want a carry everywhere flashlight, but without compromising the functionality or performance.
The TD02 has a top power output of 2000 lumens with a range of up to 254 metres and features 4 lower levels including a lowest output of 10 lumens and a strobe mode. Run time is up to 150 hours (at the lowest output of 10 lm).
It uses the classic U shape tail cap switch design which is intuitive to use and easy to find the switch just by feel. A new body shape has lots of grooves giving a superior grip on the flashlight.
Power is via a high capacity rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery, and it’s charge in the flashlight with a type C connection, using the included port A to port C cable. A charge level and battery indicator are just below the charge port.
It has IPX8 water resistance for use in all weather conditions, and it is shock tested to to ensure reliable operation (1 metre).
Using premium quality aluminum alloy body materials, it also features a strong stainless steel clip and comes with a lanyard and spare O rings, and a charging cable.
Size of the Wurkkos is 122mm x 20.3mm (length x head diameter), with a weight of 112g (without battery).
5 Power levels and a strobe using the SST40 LED
Using a Luminus SST40 LED (which is a cool white between 6000-6500K), the TD02 can reach up to a beam distance of 254 metres, whilst giving a wider floodlight of 120 degrees, With a mixed beam pattern (with a TIR optical lens) it’s ideal for multiple uses including EDC and around the house or at work.
The 5 power levels range from the Turbo of 2000 lumens, 1000 lumens, 400 lumens, and two lower modes of 100 lumens and 10 lumens. Strobe mode is also rated to 2000 lumens ideal for self defence or alerting people to an emergency.
The type C charging port features a charge level LED indicator for the 18650 Li-ion rechargeable cell, this lets you see when it is charging and finished. This LED below the charging port also has a 3 stage battery level check; when it’s Green it’s 50-100% charge, Red is 20-50%, and Flashing Red is critical at under 20%. You will always know how much is left in the battery thanks to this system.
A hardened glass lens cover protects the LED and the body is made using heat treated aluminum alloy for long term strength. IPX8 water resistance for use in harsh weather conditions.
With a simple single tail switch UI the TD02 is very easy to operated. It’s a well featured, compact and very affordable EDC flashlight.
