The TH10R is powered by a rechargeable 18650 battery, or 2 CR123A non rechargeable batteries. When inserting the batteries you won't have to worry about the polarity because the TH10R features polarity inversion protection.
The TH10R comes with a 18650 3500mAh rechargeable battery. Moreover, the 18650 batteries can be charged via the standard and widely diffused USB-C port on the head of the light. There's a built status led near the port, will flash red when charging, and solid green when the charging is complete. The same indicator will work as a charge indicator when activate, showing 4 battery levels: single red flash (battery under 10%), double red flash (battery between 11 and 40%), three red flashes (between 41 and 90%), and four red flashes (above 90%); so you always know how much energy you have left in your battery.
No need to worry about over discharging your 18650 batteries in your TH10R, because the light will progressively adjust the output, decreasing the brightness to a lower imput, and then turning the light off when the voltage is under 2.6 volts.
