Based on the popular E5 model, this enhanced version has a number of improvements. With a higher power 650 lumens output, increased battery capacity, dual switches and a red light.

The main side light can reach up to 650 lumens in turbo mode, down to 30 lumens, with a new Red static light and flashing light offering 10 lumens power. Head light has increased the top level to 150 lumens.
Built in 500mAh battery has quick charging (around 1.5 hours), with charge indicators, and can run the main light up to 11 hours on low mode. As expected USB-C is used.
Magnetic base and clip mean the E5 Plus can be attached to a bag/belt, hat or metal item for use as a working, EDC or camping light, as it has both top and side light outputs it covers many situations where a single light wouldn’t be enough.
Klarus are using high grade aluminium alloy body, with a new thicker surface treatment to resist marks and scratches, coating is now 35um which is around 4 times the layer many other makers offer. It’s still drop resistant to 1 metre, and has a rating of IPX4 water/dust resistance for use in all weather conditions.
Very small form factor with a size of 113mm x 25mm x 8mm, and weight of only 39g.

By offering multiple light outputs, Klarus ensure the E5 Plus is one of the most versatile flashlights out there. The main side COD LED (warm white) has 4 modes from 650 lumens, 380, 80, and a low of 30 lumens with a range of up to 32 metres, this light has a wide 120 degree spread for a flood style beam. The new Red output has 2 modes static and flashing (both 10 lumens), dual power off the Head light (cool white), with a high of 150 lumens and low of 30 lumens (top range 16 metres).
The previous model had a single switch, but the company has listened to user feedback and included dual switches for improved UI and handling, making operation both easier and faster.
No doubt this upgraded offering from Klarus will be a very popular seller, and is a welcome addition to the ever growing wedge/slim style flashlight range.
