A new “long throw” flashlight for users who demand superior range. This latest addition from Klarus has a superb 850 metre range, with a top Turbo output of 1600 lumens. The flashlight can last as long as 288 hours (low mode 10 lumens).
The XT12GT Pro is powered via a single 21700 rechargeable Li-ion battery, which is charged via the type C port on the flashlight. It can also be used with CR123A cells and 18650 batteries, this means you have many power options for this flashlight.
Two modes are available, one is a tactical one with gives you quick access (one touch) to Strobe/Turbo, the outdoor mode lets you use the Low or Turbo and SOS function. Pick the one which works best for you, or change is if you wish.
Klarus are using a high quality heat treated aluminum for a strong and durable body, with a stainless steel strike bezel. It’s been rated to IPX8 waterproof, with submersion of 2 metres, and drop tested to 1 metre.
The XT12GT Pro is 171.2mm length, with a head diameter of 45.2mm, and a tail diameter of 27.5mm. Weight is 171g (without battery).
1600 lumens with a powerful 160,000 candela beam
Klarus are using a Luminus SFT-40 LED and a smooth reflector which delivers a tight focussed 160,000cd long distance 850 metre throw (Turbo 1600lm), This LED is 6500K in color temperature.
After the 1600lm Turbo level, there are three lower settings, a high of 500lm, a medium 100lm and a low of 10lm for extending battery life and using a power level better suited for closer distance tasks. Even at 400 lumens the XT12GT can reach 400 metres in range, much further than many flashlights can at their highest output. At the Turbo mode it can light up an area of around 14,700 squared metres (and area approximately the size of 2 football fields).
There are 2 special modes a tactical strobe and SOS.Power is via a single 21700 rechargeable battery which is rated to 5000mAh capacity, and supports rapid charging (2 amps) via the USB C port built into the flashlight. It is also possible to use 18650, CR123A (16340) and 18350 cells with this model; this is a useful feature as you have many more battery sizes options to power it.
Dual tactical tail switch design, with 2 operation modes
Klarus continue to use their upgraded dual switches, giving quick access to strobe/turbo modes and very simple operation. They also have the choice of Tactical and Outdoor modes, and this allows you to choose an operation which suits your needs. Tactical is based on the quick access for Turbo and Strobe modes and is well suited for defensive operation. Outdoor gives you one touch to low or Turbo with the SOS mode, making it ideal for general purpose use.
A lock-out function can prevent accidental operations.There is a battery capacity indicator LED which shows 4 stages (Green, Orange, Red, and flashing red when critical).
Klarus have also integrated a standard ¼” thread so that the flashlight can be mounted on a tripod, this expands the use into some other areas such a longer distance work light.
Mil-Spec HAIII Military hardened anodizing ensures a long lasting finish and durable body. It is impact resistant to 1 metres, and IPX8 weather resistance for up to 2 metres water submersion. A strong stainless steel bezel with hardened glass and anti reflective coating will ensure lasting endurance.
The XT12GT Pro is also compatible with add on red/green filters, a remote cable, and weapon mounts.
