A very attractive offering from Lumintop, this new flashlight is visually interesting with it’s two tone body with a gold plated brass ring, yet it also has an impressive number of features for such a small light.
With a top output of 1000 lumens the Ring King is able to reach up to 180 metres distance, with two lower levels for when less power is required. A strobe/police flashing mode is also included.
It can run off a rechargeable Li-ion 14500 battery, or a normal AA cell increasing the power options available to users.It has an improved heat sink design with deep grooves for better heat dissipation.
The rear has RGB glow tubes which give a cool look to the flashlight.A good quality aluminum alloy body is heat treated for a stronger finish which resists marks and damage, it it rated to IPX8 weather resistance, and drop tested to 1 metre.
Despite being powerful the Ring King is very pocket friendly in size, at just 102mm x 21.5mm x 24.5mm (length x head diameter x body diameter), and a weight of 54g.
Osram LED with 3 power levels and Strobe mode
Using a 14500 Li-ion battery the Lumintop can put out up to 1000 lumens in high mode, with an additional 2 modes of 350 lumens and 20 lumens. Using a normal AA cell the high output is 300 lumens, with a medium of 100 lumens and a low of 3 lumens. A tactical/police strobe output is also present (1000 lumens 14500 and 300 lumens for AA).
Range is impressive for the compact size, reaching up to 180 metres distance (high 1000 lumens), and a candela beam of 8000cd for a mixed pattern output, good for longer or close up distances.
Single tail cap switch UI
Using the rear/tail cap switch operation is very simple, with a soft silicone cover it’s is both easy to find and comfortable to use. A full press for On/Off, with a half press momentary and to change outputs, shortcuts are also included for quick access to strobe.
Using the 14500 battery provides maximum power output, but it has a built in USB C charging port, with a charge status indicator. With the red it’s charging, and green indicates it’s fully charged. It’s a high capacity cell which is rated to 920mAh.
A strong 2 way pocket clip is also supplied, and it can be removed if you wish by unscrewing the tail cap.
This compact flashlight is a great EDC option, where performance isn’t compromised, and would make a good second carry option or as a general purpose offering at work, in the workshop or around the house.
