This latest update to the very popular Thurnite Archer Pro, is likely to be well received by many users. The company has made a number of enhancements, including a longer range beam (which is now 187 metres compared to the Archer Pro which was 134 metres). They have retained the compact size and low weight, with a choice of cool or neutral white outputs. The biggest change is the removable and replaceable battery (this was sealed in on the earlier version), extending the lifespan of the flashlight greatly.

Powered via a rechargeable 14500 Li-ion battery, this can be charged in the flashlight with the type C charging port, which is revealed when you unscrew the head.

A supplied double clip lets you carry this on a bag or pocket. With a tail switch operation which is simple and features a lock-out function.

Featuring step-less levels your range goes from 13 lumens at infinity low to 950 lumens in Turbo, with an additional firefly mode of 0.5 lumens which can last as long as 15 days.

A high grade finish using heat treated aluminum alloy, has been drop tested to 1.5 metres, and IPX8 rated for water submersion up to 2 metres.

The Archer Pro V2 is still a very small flashlight, at 98mm x 21m (length/diameter) and has a weight of just 65g.

Step-less output with a top power level of 950 lumens

This version from Thrunite has their Step-less output which gives you a wide range of power levels from 13 lumens to 950 lumens. Quoted range is 187 metres with a candela of 8730cd – in combination with the PMMA TIR Optical lens gives a mixed balanced beam, with some range and spread – an ideal general use output in many scenarios.

Users can pick from a choice of Neutral or Cool white LED emitters.Also included is a firefly mode with a tiny output of 0.5lm, and a strobe (rated to 115 lumens).

A higher capacity 14500 rechargeable battery is supplied, this is rated to 1000mAh, quite high for an AA sized battery.Type C charging is built into the flashlight, with a concealed port which is covered by the screw down head, this helps prevent dirt and debris getting into the port.

Large tail switch with easy to pick up UI

Thanks to the oversized metal tail cap on the Archer Pro V2, it’s easy to find even in the dark, yet it still has a solid UI which quick access to Turbo, and Strobe modes and features a lock out to prevent accidental operation.

The supplied double clip is secure and ensures you can firmly attach the flashlight to clothing, a pocket or backpack, making it a great EDC option. If you prefer you can simple remove it and use it without the clip.

Almost the ideal size for a pocket EDC flashlight, the Archer 2 offers a robust output, durable build with IPX8 rating for waterproofing up to 2 metres, drop tested to 1.5 metres. Quality AL 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a type III hard coating ensures the Thrunite is made to last.
