New robust diving flashlight from Nitecore is designed for divers, but can also be used as a longer range flashlight too on land.
DL30 has multiple modes incluiding 4 power levels, 5 flashing modes with an SOS And 4 stages of flashing duration.
It runs on a Nitecore NL2153R USB-C charging 21700 Li-ion cell, which has built in protection and charge indicator LEDs. Run times are up to 6 hours in the low (350 lumens) mode.
Body features a prominent metal switch which is surround with a circular power level indicator which provides real time battery level information. It’s a wide circle which ensures good visibility even at depth.
Thickened glass is tempered to provide more protection for the LED, and it has a high grade body made from aero quality aluminum alloy, with additional HAIII anodising for knock/drop and damage resistance. Drop tested to 1 metre, it’s IP68 rated to 100 metres submersion.

Diving lights require not only robust build, but powerful focus beam patterns to cut through the darkness and murkiness of the water. Nitecore have made a high candela 155,420cd light which can reach 788 metres range and 4 levels of power 1100, 800, 659, and 350 lumens of output.
SOS for emergency signalling and 4 flashing modes, quick, 1 second, 2 seconds, and 3 seconds. These are important for underwater use where this can be used to communicate between divers.
A diffuser is also included, as well as spare O rings.
A simple single switch UI is present and the raised switch is easy to find by feel, again important for use underwater. Though this flashlight can also be used on land thanks to it’s 3 degree long beam range it can be useful for camping, EDC and search and rescue.
