A new addition to the slim EDC range from Nitecore, now we have the EDC23 which offers an even more pocket friendly size with it’s reduced length, making it the shortest wedge type model in their range.
It might be small, but it still packs a punch with it’s 2500 lumens top power output, range of 280 metres, and has a run time up to 39 hours (lowest mode 15 lumens), with built in USB-C charging port for quick recharging of the built in 1500mAh battery.
OLED display provides useful information such as battery voltage/charging level, power output/mode and estimated run time remaining.
It uses the same high quality body and design as the larger EDC29, stainless steel PVD coated shell for increased resistance to marks and damage, With a carbon reinforced frame for strength. Dual switches with a side lock out switch to make it even quicker to lock and unlock the flashlight, and prevent accidental activation. Clip can be removed if desired via the screws holding it in place.
Sensor protection is built in, if you turn on the flashlight at the high level or above, it will ramp the power down to prevent a fire hazard or melting any objects near the front of the lens.
It’s water and dust resistant with a rating of IP54, and drop tested to 2 metres, and can be used in all types of weather including storms and high rainfall.
The reduced length is clear at only 102.8mm length x 33mm, with a weight of 101g.
5 Power levels and Strobe mode, with Dual Switches and Side lock-out
Dual Nitelab LEDs (Uhi 25), have a textured reflector for optimal beam output, and with 5 levels available for users, it is easy to pick one that suits your needs.
From 2500 lumens Turbo, a high and mid of 1100 lumens and 200 lumens, with 2 low modes of 65 and 15 lumens, with the strobe mode also at 2500 lumens.
UI is great thanks to the 2 dual stage switches, and you can easily feel a half and full press, quick access to Turbo, Strobe and Ultralow, Momentary, with a mode memory. The side lock-out switch offers 2 lock out modes full lock (all switches) or half/semi lock (Strobe/Turbo can be used but not main power switch).
