A new powerful flashlight from Nextorch, the TA20 has a powerful beam, that defies it’s small size.
With a highest output of 1000 lumens, (range of 210 metres), it’s a capable performer – yet remains small enough to make it an ideal tactical EDC carry flashlight. It has a length of just 100mm x 30mm (head diameter), x 23mm (body diameter), and a weight of 89g (3.14oz) without battery.
The T20 also has a Tri-Setting rotary head design, allowing you to switch between a lock mode, tactical, and duty mode, just by rotating the head.
Powered via a rechargeable CR123A (16340) battery, this cell features a built in Type-C port for quick and easy charging.
The strong aluminum alloy body is drop tested to 2 metres, and waterproof to IPX8, and has a nano-ceramic strike bezel for self defense.
3 Power levels and 1000 lumens output, with Strobe
In duty mode there are 3 outputs available, using the Osram P9 LED the top output of 1000 lumens boasts an impressive range of 210 metgres, a mid level of 190 lumens (85 metres range), and a low mode of 24 lumens (30 metres). The strobe also hits 1000 lumens.
Run times are up to 24 hours (low mode), and the supplied CR123A (16340) rechargeable battery features a USB-C charging port with a battery charge status LED (red charging/blue completed).
These cells are easy to find and small enough to keep a few spares around.
You can also pick up a number of optional accessories: The FR-1 tactical ring clips onto the body giving a more secure hold of the flashlight, the RM25S is a mount which can allows you to clip it to a helmet, and the V31 is a quick draw holster for rapid deployment.
Tri-Setting Rotating Head design for 3 modes of operation, with tactical tail switch
A clever design from Nextorch, is the rotating head. This lets users pick the mode of operation, and there are 3 in total.
First is the lock mode, as expected this is the lock-out function to prevent activation by accident. Second is the Duty (or normal) mode, this allows you to to use the 3 main power levels from High, Medium, Low and the Strobe function (a quick press cycles the levels and strobe). And lastly the Tactical mode has a momentary (high 1000 lumens) and strobe (1000 lumens).
TA20 has a large metal tactical style tail switch which is easy to find even wearing gloves.
No compromises on build quality, as the T20 features a hardened aluminum body with IPX8 water resistance, and drop tested to 2 metres.
This is a very well thought out compact tactical flashlight, with some unique design elements which make it one of the best choices in this segment.
