This compact and affordable headlamp from Nitecore is designed for users who want a value based, but good quality small headlamp.
It can be powered either by a Nitecore HLB1300 Li-ion rechargeable battery pack, or by 3 x AAA batteries (Ni-MH or Alkaline), the AAA cells are easy to find and ideal for use in this headlamp.
The HA13 flashlight has 3 power levels, a top output of 350 lumens, with 2 strobe modes, and 2 red modes (static and flashing). Run times can be up to 140 or 160 hours (ultra low level Li-ion/AAA).
A maximum bean distance of 120 metres is possible (with the highest level of 350 lumens).It comes with an adjustable and removable quality headband, with reflective markings.
Made from tough and durable Polycarbonate materials with an attractive frosted effect on the case, it’s impact resistant to 1 metre drops, and is rated to IPX6 dust and water resistance.

3 Power levels with 2 Red modes and dual button interface
With the top level of 350 lumens, it’s plenty powerful enough for general use or when running. A range of up to 120 metres is possible in the highest mode. Two additional levels are present, with a low of 100 lumens, and an ultra low of 6 lumens. 2 strobe modes are SOS and Beacon, useful for emergency signalling.
Nitecore are using their own optical lens to ensure a smooth and even beam profile, giving an excellent spread with a diffused hot spot.
A red light is also built in, with a constant and flashing mode (5 lumens). Red Auxiliary LED has multiple uses, helping to preserve night vision.
UI is simple and intuitive, you have a dual button interface with a larger dimpled power button, this controls On/Off, with the levels adjustable using this switch. The smaller mode button cycles between the white and red LEDs.
A lock-out mode is here too, useful for storage or transportation. And it has a very low power consumption in standby, it can be stored for up to a year with minimal power loss.
