Nitecore Launches EDC37 High Power 8000 Lumens Tactical Flashlight

This new addition to the Nitecore EDC range is probably the most exciting flashlight the company has released to date. It features a top output of 8000 lumens a dual stage customisable button, high capacity built in battery, with a rugged style body with anti slip texturing.

There are six levels in total Including the top level of 8000 lumens (lumenshield floodlight) spotlight mode with 3000 lumens (search), down to an ultra low level of just 15 lumens. Nitecore have also included a strobe mode this is rated to 8000 lumens.

The built in battery is rated to a generous 8000mAh. With type C charging port, which has a cover to protect it from damage and dirt. Charging is quick at 18 watts, you can charge the flashlight fully in around two hours. Long run times, in the 15 lumens mode you can use the flashlight for up to 190 hours.

Body is rugged and durable it features A stainless steel shell on both sides (PVD coating) with a carbon fibre composite frame with the additional aluminium heat sink to ensure excellent heat dissipation. Thanks to the armour textured style on the body, it offers a secure grip wet or dry in the hand or wearing gloves. Stainless steel clip is also attached to the body.

The design also features silicone Nitride ceramic tips, for glass breaking and these are also removable.

It's been rated to IP54 for water and dust resistance and has been dropped tested to two metres.

It's relatively compact too considering the features and output with a footprint of just 108mm x 39.3mm x 31mm, with a weight of 199g (including batteries).

EDC37 features two nitelab UHi 20 Max LEDS, They feature 18 cores and offer spotlight and floodlight outputs. The main core able to reach the top 420 metres, for longer range use, with the auxiliary LEDS for flood lighting.

Dual switches are included, With a customisable button and a dual stage tail switch. with a half and full press. Both the full and half press can be configured on their own to allow you to customise the controls of the flashlight as you wish.

On the side is a lockout switch allowing you to quickly Look and unlock the flashlight, and prevent accidental operation.

I clear OLED display also provides useful information to the user Including the battery level output, approximate runtime, remaining run time, and charge level indicator. It's powerful well featured flashlight is likely to be very popular users, who require a compact, fully featured flashlight for EDC use.
