Using the latest in house LEDs from NiteLab, this new model has an impressive 1700 lumens output with improved efficiency and output.
It has 4 levels, an SOS and Strobe, an a White and Red light.
The built in battery is an 18650 type with the newer higher capacity/generation (4000mAh), with USB C port which supports fast charging (1 hour charge gives 80% capacity). Giving a run time up to 24 hours (low mode 100 lumens). 4 Stage built in LED’s show the battery level clearly. A built in sensor will ramp down the power level with close objects to prevent damage to items.
Lightweight headband is wider (32mm), has a foam pad for comfort, reflective markings for improved visibility, and ventilated design/silicone inner band to keep sweat out of the eyes.
Bracket is a quick release type, and the NU45 headlamp can also be used with battery packs including the new Carbon 6K, and is compatible with helmet mount bases too. Comes with a diffuser sack for use as a lantern and for storage.
It’s a lightweight design at just 126g with the battery, and has a size of 79mm x 39.5mm x 49.8mm. Drop tested to 2 metres (made from Polycarbonate and Aluminium alloy), rated to IP68 water resistance (2 metres depth).

A wide range of outputs are included in the NU45, 4 main levels from 100 lumens up to 1700 lumens and an SOS and Beacon mode (6000K). Auxiliary White (4500K warmer white higher CRI) has a floodlight output, 25 lumens and 8 lumens for a wider field of view and for up close activities (map reading etc). The Axillary Red LED has 2 levels 5 and 10 lumens, and a slow flashing mode for safety/signalling.
Top range using the primary White LED is a respectable 172 metres at the Turbo mode of 1700 lumens.
Dual button UI is simple to feel by touch and operated. Switches have a different shape and feel, and can be used even with gloves on. Lock-out is present too and the NU45 has an ultra low standby power consumption, and is ready to use even with extended storage periods of around 1 year.
