New compact headlamp, joining the recent UHE releases from Nitecore, but this time it features a removable battery and dual power source.

Powered by either a 14500 rechargeable Li-ion cell (optional), or a single AA battery (Ni-MH or Alkaline), it offers a small size with a powerful beam thanks to the 6 core UHE LED’s.

4 power levels for the 14500 cell or 3 for the AA, with a max output of 400 lumens (14500) or 200 lumens (AA), down to an ultra low of 6 lumens. Run times are up to 114 hours using the Li-ion battery at the lowest level. 2 strobe modes SOS and Beacon, with a Red light output (high and low) and a slow flashing mode for safety.

It comes with a quality headband with anti flip silicone bead to prevent movement or sweat, perforated, and it has reflective markings and is fully adjustable and can be removed. A clip is also supplied so you can attach it to a bag or belt/harness, and a diffuser sack is included which turns the headlamp into a useful camping light, and provides storage for the headlamp and spare batteries too.

Body is made from polycarbonate and TPE materials, with drop test pass of 1 metre and rated to IP66 water and dust resistance.

It’s light and small at only 67.4mm x 28.6mm x 33.4mm, and a weight of 43g.

6 core UHE LEDs with Red Aux LED output

Special matrix UHE LED output has 6 cores, Nitecore call it their “Truevision” system. It has a very larger 38mm wide emitting surface, and has a high 94% transmission rating, and as it has a bigger area provides more even illumination compared to single or low number of LED lights. Nitelab LEDs also offer unrivalled efficiency and longer run times.
Range is up to 80 metres at the top level of 400 lumens.

Thanks to the dual button UI, it’s a breeze to operate even with gloves on, and has a lock out mode for safe transportation, and ultra long standby time of 365 days due to it’s low standby consumption.

With 4 or 3 white LED levels (14500/AA), 2 strobe modes and a Red output with 2 levels and flashing mode, this compact, small but incredibly useful headlamp could find many uses, for running, hiking, work or as a compact EDC headlamp as part of a kit.
