Olight Baton 4 Compact EDC 1300 lumens Flashlight

New updated model from Olight, and the latest addition to the Baton series, offers a number of improvements over the last generation (Baton 3). The new Baton 4 features an upgraded side switch which is now metal (v silicone), and it features LED indicators either side of the switch for instant feedback on brightness level, and battery capacity. Power is increased from 1200 to 1300 lumens, and the battery charging box is increased in capacity from 3500mAh to 5000mAh, giving extended run times up to 30 days.

Available in a number of colors including Black, Blue, Green and a Red/White stripe (candy cane).

The battery box also allows control of the flashlight when docked, it has an LED numeral indicator showing the capacity % left in the box. Type C charging port allows quick and convenient charging, and the same type C port can also be used as a power bank for a phone or other device. The box is also compatible with other Olight models including the Baton 3.

Buyers have a choice of standard or premium versions of this model (premium includes the charging box) Using a cutom 16340 battery in the flashlight (650mAh).

A magnetic tail cap design lets you attach it to metal surfaces as a working light, and the bezel is made from stainless steel.

Baton 4 is made from Olight’s premium aluminum alloy body material, this is heat treated for hard wear resistance, and it’s rated to IPX8 for full water and dust resistance. It’s been drop tested to 1.5 metres too.

The light remains tiny in size: 63mm x 21mm x 21mm (length x body x head diameter), with a battery box size of 65mm x 32mm x 88mm. Weight of the flashlight it 52.5g (with battery) and the premium version is 194g (with battery box).

5 Power levels with a range of up to 170 metres

Upgraded output on the Baton 4 enables a higher output of 1300 lumens and a range of 170 metres, it’s a mixed beam pattern suitable for close and medium distances.

The 5 power levels include a super low moonlight of 0.5 lumens, with a low of 12 lumens and a medium and high of 60 and 600 lumens. The top Turbo of 1300 lumens runs for around 1.5 minutes before dropping down to the high level (600 lumens).

Strobe is also present and once fitted to the battery box, you can use stepless control of the light using the switch on the box, with the ramping/dimming mode you can control the output accurately as you require. Olights UI on the flashlight is the same as previous ones, very simple and easy to get used to, with shortcuts to Turbo, Strobe, and lockout functions.
