This addition to the Obulb range is the larger one in the series and increases the highest output level up to an impressive 300 lumens, but it also has many light output levels which can do down to as low as 0.8lm (white light) to provide a small and diffused light source if required.
A newly designed App lets users customize the light using touch controls on the phone, you can use many functions from the App. RGB slider to pick the exact color hue you want, a countdown timer function, a reactive mode where the Orb responds to sounds and music, and you can even control a group of Obulbs too if you have more than 1.
The base of the Obulb is magnetic and can be attached securely to metal surfaces.In addition to this it features Olight’s magnetic USB charger which makes re-charging the light simple and quick. With a high capacity 2000mAh built in Li-ion battery, has excellent run times/endurance.
Build is to a high level with impact resistant materials (tested to 1 metre drop), it’s also rated to IPX7, so it can be used indoors and outside in many different weather conditions and environments.
A diameter of 80mm x 73.7mm height, with a weight of 176g – it’s still small enough to fit into any pack or bag easily.
Up to 300 lumens output with full RGB colors
The main white LED can be set up to 300 lumens maximum output, thanks to the larger body giving well spread out diffused pattern. Ideal for lighting up larger areas. Addition levels also let you set the output to 180 lumens, 40 lumens and even as low as 0.8 lumens. It’s ideal as a back up light source, or as a reading light or even using it as a compact working light. Run time is impressive at up to 49 hours (low mode 0.8lm).
The RGB LEDs give you a range of color hues which can be user set or using some presets There are various modes, static, breathing/flashing to play with.
You have timers/group control and even reactive mode where the light can respond to sounds.This is more than just a normal camping type light, it’s something which has many uses in may different areas.
Touch control with newly designed App
Users have a choice of how to control the Obulb Plus, the Orb features touch sensitive control allowing you to turn it On/Off and switch between modes and it has stepless dimming.
For more comprehensive control, you can use the Bluetooth connection to a phone or tablet. This gives you finer control over the output, you can store settings and use preset modes too, with some flickering/flame, breathing effects also present.
Body is made from tough polycarbonate, and is drop tested to 1 metre, and IPX7 water resistance. Olight also include an adhesive backed base which you can attach the Obulb to via it’s magnetic function.
The charging is via the Olight magnetic charging USB system, this offers safe and rapid charging from flat to full in around 3 hours. Battery level is also shown in the app too.
