This compact and rugged portable light has many potential uses for buyers. I could be used for camping, sports or a car emergency kit, and even around the house or garage as a working light. Pelican are well respected for their strong and tough cases, this new model offers the advantage of a  small storage case and LED light in a single unit.

It features a power output up to 300 lumens, more than enough light for use in many environments, and it has a beacon mode for signalling. Run times are up to 75 hours on the lowest level (35 lumens) or 24 hours using the beacon mode at the lower 35 lumen level.

Thanks to the smart storage area below the light, you can stash useful items or supplies, batteries and other items safely inside.It can be hung up, or used on a surface, with the built in stand to angle light forward, or via the Carabiner (which is included).

The case is made from ultra rugged crack proof ABS/Polycarbonate materials and it’s designed to survive harsh conditions including IP67 water resistance (for up to 1 metre for 30 minutes).

Size of the 9000 is 20.6cm ((8.11”) length, with a weight of 612g (21.6 oz), with batteries, or 516g (18.20z) with out batteries.

3 Power levels with special Beacon flashing mode

The 9000 features a custom designed LED light output, with 3 different levels. The highest mode has a useful 300 lumens output, a medium of 165 lumens and a low level of 35 lumens.

At the top output of 300 lumens, you have a range of 25 metres, and a candela of 147cd. Each of these modes can also be used for the beacon signalling mode, which can alert people to your location with the slow flashing.

Run times are impressive for such a compact unit, with 3 hours 20 minutes on high (300 lumens), down to 75 hours at the lowest level.The UI is simple using a push button interface.

Powered via AA battery cells (4 are required for a voltage output of 6V). You can use single use Alkaline cells or rechargeable Ni-MH ones.
