Another new entry into the wedge style flashlight category, is the ST1 from Sofirn. And it brings with it a dual beam pattern output using a total of 5 LEDs.
With a top level of 1500 lumens it has 4 lower power levels down to a moonlight mode of only 1 lumen. Buck driver ensures flicker free reliable operation.
A built in Li-ion battery has a solid capacity rating of 2100mAh, charged via USB-C port, with a port cover to protection from water and dirt. The run times are up to 450 hours in moon mode (1 lumen).
Flat shape of the ST1 is ideal for a pocket or jacket carry, with the slimmer profile, yet retails all the features you would expect from a premium light, at an affordable price level.
Body is using AL 6061-T6 Aluminum alloy body with hard type III anodising finish. Rated to IPX7 with an impact resistant level of 1 metre.

5 power levels with 1 Main and 4 Aux LEDs for Spotlight and Floodlight beam
Many wedge style flashlights have a single type of main white output, but here the ST1 has one main LED for spotlight, and 4 auxiliary LEDs for a floodlight output. The spot is rated to 6500K cool white, with the floodlight a neutral white of around 5000K output.
Top range is rated to 226m beam, which is a useful for longer range illumination, a beam angle of 18.2 degrees for spot mode, with an angle of 87 degrees for floodlight when you need a wide light output.
UI is handled by a single side switch, making it intuitive and simple to operate even with one hand, and an included lanyard makes for a secure carry. And thanks to the shape it’s a comfortable light to hold even for extended periods of time.
