This new addition to their headlamp range from Sofrin, continues to offer excellent value for buyers, yet manages to provide a high power output, and long run times with plenty of modes and power levels.
Sofirn are using 4 SST-20 LED’s giving a top output of 4000 lumens, with a range of 325 metres, with 6 power levels including a low moonlight mode of 1 lumen. 3 strobe modes are present, with SOS, Strobe and Beacon for emergency signalling. It’s a powerful beam, but also provides a good range and spread making it a versatile option.
Power is via a high capacity rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery, this cell is rated to 5000mAh and can offer run times up to 29.5 days (Moonlight 1 lumen mode).
It features a type C charging port, battery level indicator and a premium quality headband is included. A magnetic base means the HS41 can also be used as a working light, and attached to metal surfaces. A double clip lets you attach it to a backpack, pocket or other items.
The body material is using a tough AL6061-T6 aluminum alloy, and features a durable heat treated glass cover.Weather resistance is rated to IP68, and it can be use in all weather conditions. Impact tested to 1 metre.

By offering a wide spread of power levels, Sofirn have made a very useful headlamp which will work in many different uses from home/work/camping and maintenance/repair, in part thanks to the smooth reflector.
From a top Turbo of 4000 lumens, down to a high of 1500 lumens, a medium and low of 500 and 150 lumens, with two lower outputs of 10 lumens and a very low 1 lumen moonlight. Whether you need a bigger range or for closer up activities, the HS41 has you covered. An impressive range of up to 325 metres is possible in the highest Turbo mode (4000 lumens).
3 special strobe modes are also present, with a normal Strobe, SOS and Beacon. Strobe is rated to 4000 lumens, SOS is 5000 lumens and Beacon is 4000 lumens.
Charging is via the built in type C charging port, and it’s fast with an output of 5V/3A, and features a charge indicator, flashing red when charging and green when completed.
Single switch UI for ease of use
Sofirn have nice large switch which has a textured finish making it easy to find by feel or if you are wearing gloves. It’s an easy headlamp to operate. They also have incorporated a 3 stage battery level check which is shown when turning it on. Green is for 70-100%, Red is 30-69% and flashing Red is a low power warning when the capacity is under 30%.
Quality materials are important for any headlamp, and using the toughened glass cover, with anti reflective coatings, hardened aluminum alloy body, IP68 water resistance rating and it’s also dust proof by design.
It offers a high performance for a very modest outlay, and is sure to be popular among users who require a cost effective, but capable headlamp for many tasks.
