With a total of 5 power levels, it can reach up to 2800 lumens in Turbo, with a range of 223 metres.
Users also have a choice between 3 modes, Duty, Tactical, and Simple. This gives you multiple choice of the levels and modes. Run times are up to 1000 hours (1 lumen) or 15 hours in low mode (100lm).
Using a standard U shape switch, simple operation and easy to feel where the switch is even with gloves on.The body of the Sofirn is made from high quality aluminum alloy, with a heat treated anodised finish which prevents marks and scratches.
With a type C charging for port fast charging, you have LED indicators for charge and battery status. It’s powered via a high capacity 21700 Li-ion battery (5000mAh).
It is rated to IPX8 water and dust resistance, and can be used in all weather conditions including strong rainfall. Drop tested to 1 metre.It’s a great EDC size at just 129mm x 29mm (length x diameter), easy to slip into a pocket or jacket, and takes up very little space.
3 Modes with 5 power levels and a strobe
A clever feature of the SC28 Flashlight is the ability to quickly switch between 3 useful modes.
A Duty mode has 5 levels of brightness from Moonlight up to Turbo, Tactical mode has 2 levels (Turbo and Medium) with a strobe mode. Finally a simple mode has 3 power levels (moonlight, low and medium), making it suitable for use by children or other users, as the top levels are not available, but the mid level still have 350 lumens, which is plenty of light for many tasks.
Moonlight goes down to 1 lumen, with low rated to 100 lumens, mid 350 lumens, and the two top levels are 1200 lumens high and 2800 lumens turbo. Range is up to 223 metres, with a candela of 12,408cd.
The body features a new anti slip design with some excellent knurling patterns on the body.
