The popularity of the flat/wedge shape flashlight continues to remain strong, another model has arrived from Sofirn offering ease of use with a single button UI, a mixed beam pattern with a solid 226 metre beam range, and with a very appealing price point.
A modern design houses the LEDs with 5 levels up to 1500 lumens power, right down to 1 lumens for the lowest light level.
A built in battery is rated to 2100mAh, giving extended run times of 450 hours on the lowest output of 1 lumen. USB-C charging offerings quick and convenient power replenishment (only 1.5 hours from flat to full), and the ring around the switch has 3 color stages red/orange/green, to quickly show the remaining capacity of the cell.
Aero grade aluminum alloy body is made from heat treated AL6061-T6 material, known for it’s lightweight, yet strong durable quality. Resistant to impacts of 1.5 metres, and rated IPX7 waterproof, usable without issues in all kinds of weather conditions.

Sofirn have worked out a very pleasing beam profile with the ST1, using SFT25R and CSP1313 LEDs (5 in total) and custom optical lenses, giving a combined beam output which has both spread and good range (226 metres max on Turbo) with a top candela of 12,800cd. 5 levels offer good control over the power required from further distances to up close activities.
Single switch UI offers operation which is free from complexity, and much easier to use for the end user. It does feature shortcuts to moonlight and Turbo, and a memory for the last setting. Lockout is also available for safe transportation of the flashlight.
