Introducing Sofirn SP60 Long Range 6800 Lumens Flashlight

A new powerful flashlight from Sofirn, the SP60 has an excellent range of up to 915 metres (at the top output of 6800 lumens. In addition to this blazing Turbo mode, you have 5 other power levels, down to a moonlight mode of 1 lumen.

Sofirn are using 2 x rechargeable 21700 Li-ion batteries, which can power the SP60 for as long as 60 hours on the low mode. A built in Type C charging port allows rapid charging (with support for 5/9/12V charging), and it can also act as an emergency power bank letting you charge your phone or other device.

With a weather resistance rating of IP68 for use in all conditions including heavy rain, the SP60 also has a high quality 6061 heat treated aluminum alloy body for long term endurance, and to resist marks.

It has a size of 258.5mm (length) x 70mm (head diameter), and a weight of 418g (no battery).

6 Power Levels with a range of up to 915 metres

The XHP70.3 LED has an impressive Turbo output of 6800 lumens, has a great range of 915 metres, but it’s important to have other power levels, and the SP60 delivers here too. A high mode of 3000 lumens (range of 631m), a medium of 1000 lumens (374m), and 3 lower levels of 450 lumens, an Eco mode of 50 lumens, right down to the 1 lumen moonlight.

There are 3 strobe modes present too, a standard strobe, SOS and beacon.

The specially made reflector gives a great beam profile which has not only a very good range, but also provides a good spill at the multiple power levels, essential for any good quality flashlight.

Side Switch with built in charge indicator and simple UI

The easy to use interface is enhanced further with direct UI access to Turbo, Strobe modes, and Moonlight. The main power levels (eco, low, medium, high), can be quickly selected just by push/hold interface, releasing when you have reached the level you want.

Another interesting feature is the automatic lock-out. After 3 minutes the SP60 will enter lock-out on it’s own! You can also set the flashlight to a manual lock-out mode with 4 rapid presses on the switch, and fast 2/3/4 clicks to unlock.

The switch has an integrated LED for charge level indication (red/green).

The 2 x 21700 batteries are charged via Type C connection. Unlike many flashlights this one supports fast charging/quick charging. 5V 3A, 9V 2A, and 12V 1.5A, as well as the standard 5V 2A.

A quality body is important for reliable operation, and the Sofirn has a well made aluminun alloy construction, which is anodized to increase it’s strength. A toughened mineral glass cover protects the LED and reflector, and the IP68 water resistance ensures continued operation in harsher weather conditions. A great choice for those who require a longer distance flashlight, well suited to law enforcement and security, hunting/camping or search and rescue operations.
