Small in size, but big in features, the new HD12 is an affordable and compact headlamp with both white and red light outputs.
Dual white LEDs have 5 power levls up to 850 lumens, with 2 red LEDs which have 3 levels up to 30 lumens, and features a flashing mode.
Power is provided via a single 14500 rechargeable Li-ion battery, or AA (Ni-Mh or Alkaline), with extended run times up to 80 hours (14500 2 lumens mode).
Built in type C charging port is convenient and has a red/green LED indicator to show the charging status. Charge speed is around 1.0A for a fast charge of the battery.
A good quality headstrap is supplied, with perforations (for sweat reduction), and reflective markings. It’s fully adjustable with a silicone bead around the inside.
Premium level AL 6061 Aluminum alloy is used with a hard type III anodising finish. Rated to IP68 it’s also been tested to a drop distance of 1 metre.
Small size at 84.4mm x 24.4mm x 24mm, and a weight of 48g (without battery), means you can use this headlamp for extended periods as it’s so light it won’t tire you out.
White and Red LED outputs with a range of up to 105 metres
Dual white LEDs have a good range of levels from a low of 2 lumens (14500) or 0.5 lumens (AA), up to a Turbo mode of 850 lumens (14500), or 150 lumens (AA).
3 levels for the dual red LEDs, from 1 lumens up to 30 lumens and a flashing mode (also 30 lumens).
It comes with a clip so it can be attached to a bag or pocket etc, and features a simple single switch UI for ease of use.
