The Fenix HM71R rechargeable headlamp features a powerful spotlight with up to 2700 lumens when turned on to the highest output level and a maximum beam distance of 755 feet (230m). Its maximum autonomy is 400 hours when used on the lowest output level and thanks to the 21700 cell it is equipped with. The user interface features eight modes, including four levels of spotlight and four levels of neutral floodlight brightness. The light sources are a white light LED Luminus SFT70 and a neutral white LED Luminus SST20 CRI90. The elastic band is soft and comfortable and allows you to use the torch as a headlamp. The quick release system allows you to quickly attach and detach the flashlight to the headband holder and then switch from headlamp to handheld EDC flashlight. The user interface provides four levels of output for the spotlight mode divided as follows: Low 50 lumens Medium 200 lumens High 800 lumens and Turbo 2700 lumens. The floodlight mode, on the other hand, also has four output levels but divided as follows: Read from 5 lumens low from 50 lumens medium from 200 lumens and high from 500 lumens. The body of this flashlight is entirely made of impact-resistant and weather-resistant aeronautical aluminum. The water resistance is given according to the IP68 standard therefore the torch can be submersible up to 2m depth without being damaged even though it is not an underwater torch. Impact resistance is instead given up to a height of 2 m. Vs intonation with the flashlight also comes a belt clip that allows you to attach the flashlight to any type of garment, backpack or belt pocket. The battery is recharged via a type-c charging interface which is present on the head of the flashlight. A small rubber cap effectively protects the type-c charging port from water, dirt and dust entering.

Interface management is ensured by a single switch on the head. It is large and easily activated even using one hand when wearing thick gloves. The switch allows access to all the modes and functions of the interface, therefore it is possible to switch from spot mode to flood mode or to select the preferred mode.
