The Fenix ​​HT30R is a LEP technology flashlight that generates a white laser light beam. Equipped with a Class 1 laser, it emits a broad spectrum white light, and allows this flashlight with only 500 lumens of output to reach the astounding distance of 4921 feet (1500m), or just under a mile!

The white laser light produced by LEP technology is an extremely focused and directional beam, with a practically non-existent spill. The Fenix ​​HT30R is equipped with double tail switches that allow the flashlight to be turned on and off and the momentary use of light as well as giving the possibility to vary the output levels.

The charging port is retractable: to make it pop out, you need to rotate the ring located just below the head. This unscrewable ring nut perfectly protects the Type-C door from water and dust. On the opposite side of the Type-c charging interface we find a small status LED that provides information on the state of charge of the battery and indicates when it is low. The Fenix ​​HT30R is classified as IP68 resistant to dust and water and is resistant to falls up to 1 meter in height.

The user interface is simple and intuitive as on all the flashlights made by Fenix: the tail switch with round shape is a tactical switch for instant or constant activation of the light, while the oval switch is the functional switch for the selection of the output level and the instant strobe. To turn on the flashlight silently and momentarily, just press the tactical switch halfway and release it when you want to turn off the light. If, on the other hand, you want to have constant light, the switch must be pressed all the way down. The selection of the output level can be made via the functional switch that will allow you to switch from the High output level of 500 lumens to the Low output level of 100 lumens.

To access the 500 lumens strobe you can do it both when the light is on and when the light is off: From the light on, press and hold the functional switch for 0.5 seconds to activate the strobe and click the switch again to return to the previous mode. With the flashlight off, on the other hand, press the functional switch to momentarily turn on the strobe, then release the switch to turn off the light. The Fenix HT30R also has the battery level indication: unscrew the light ring to reveal the battery indicator. When the light is turned on, the battery indicator will flash to show the remaining cell charge. If the green light flashes it means that the charge is between 100% and 30%, if instead the red light flashes it means that the remaining charge is between 30% and 1%

The Fenix ​​HT30R also has an intelligent storage system that remembers the last level used. In this way the user, at the next power on, will directly access the last level he had previously used.
