The Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 is a small portable EDC flashlight that is convenient to carry, for example, inside a pocket, bag or pouch. Evolution of the bestselling Lumintop Tool AA has been improved and enhanced both in terms of power and power mode. The Lumintop Too AA 2 in fact produces a light beam of 650 lumens using a single rechargeable lithium ion cell type 14500. The Lumintop Too AA 2.0 is equipped with either an XP-L HD LED or a Nichia 219CT both with a duration over 50,000 hours. In addition to being powered with a 14500 cell, the Tool AA 2 can also be powered by an alkaline or rechargeable Ni-Mh primary AA cell.

There are four possible normal output levels: low, medium, high and turbo. A strobe level is also available. The selection of the output levels is done via the tail switch or by rotating the head. The Lumintop Tool AA 2 also has the function of memorizing the last level used. In this way, each time the torch is switched on, it will light up on the level previously used. The maximum runtime with an alkaline or Ni-MH AA cell is approximately 2.5 days using the lowest Eco level.

The optional magnetic tailcap allows you to use the flashlight like a candle. Being a light and compact flashlight the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 is perfect as a UDC. The dimensions are 89.5 x 18.5 mm while the net weight excluding the battery is just 23.5 grams.

The body of the flashlight is made entirely of aluminum alloy with a hard type III hard anodized finish resistant to abrasion and wear. Water resistance is guaranteed according to the IPX-8 standard and is submersible up to 2 meters deep while impact resistance is guaranteed up to 1.5 meters in height.

The possible output levels vary according to the cells used: for example the Turbo level will be 650 lumens using a 14500 lithium cell, instead it will be 220 lumens with alkaline batteries and 270 lumens with Ni-Mh cells. The runtimes also vary according to the cell used for power supply. In fact, they will be: 37 hours with the 14500 cell, and 2.5 days with an alkaline or ni-mh cell. The maximum distance that can be reached with the 650 lumens Turbo is 127 meters, while the maximum light intensity is 3420 candles.

The tail switch is rubberized, easy to reach and to activate. In the package also comes a small silicone diffuser. It is a glow in the dark type, so when it is used and the torch is turned off it will stay lit for a long time. When using the diffuser installed on the head of the torch, the beam produced becomes totally flood and the Tool AA 2 turns into a small lantern. The light is diffused at 360 degrees and creates a soft light useful for illuminating short distances, for writing or reading when you are in a dark room.
