Following on from the success of last years EDC27, Nitecore have now added their own NiteLab Uhi 20 LED’s to the light, giving improved output, range and efficiency.
This gives an impressive improvement in range from 220 metes on the first generation, now up to 305 metres.
5 Levels go down to an ultralow of 15 lumens, with a strobe mode included. The built in high capacity battery is rated to 1700mAh and is charged via USB C on the flashlight body with fast charging times around 1 hour 15 minutes (5V 2A). Run times are up to 55 hours in the lowest output.
Built in OLED display gives detailed information about output, estimated run time and charging/battery level, voltage.
Body is made from the same stainless steel, with a copper heat sink inside for improved heat dissipation. A special PVD coating (Titanium) protects the body from marks and scuffs, and is corrosion resistant too. Carbon Fibre frame ensures it’s rigid and durable. Patterns on the side of the flashlight ensure a solid firm grip, and it comes pre-fitted with a clip for a secure pocket/bag carry (can be removed).
Sensor is built in to the front to ensure that it powers down if items are close to it (proximity sensor), for safety and to prevent heat damage.
IP54 water and dust resistance so it can be used in all types of weather without any issues. Tested to 1 metre drop distance.
The popular wedge/slim shape is ideal for an EDC carry, and the size is only 135mm x 31.4mm x 22.2mm (length x width x height), with a weight of just 122g including the built in battery.
Dual NiteLab UHi20 LEDs with a range of up to 305 metres, Dual switch UI
The Uhi20 LED’s are improved and offer a notable increase in range, one benefit of Nitecore’s in house LED production.
5 Levels and a strobe ensure all you needs are covered, 3100 lumens it the top output, with a range of others including 1100, 200, 65, and 15 lumens.
Dual switches have a two stages and offer easy access to the settings thanks to the face one is raised higher. It has a memory/you can pick the default level, instant access to momentary, ultralow, strobe, and turbo modes.
Nitecore also improved the switched over the first generation, but have still included 2 lockout modes for safe transportation.
