This new headlamp from Acebeam is remarkably small in size, yet it still able to power a very solid 1000 lumens output (in Turbo Cool White), or 650 lumens (High CRI Turbo) A total of 5 levels lets you pick the exact beam output you require.
Not only is the H16 a headlamp, but it also features a magnetic tail cap (useful for work or maintenance), and comes with a clip so you can wear it or attach it to a bag/backpack and use it as a right angle flashlight.
The headlamp 14500 battery also has a fast type C USB charging port, simple take the cell out to charge it directly.
Acebeam are using a quality perforated headband, this helps to reduce sweat/heat built up, and also has reflective stripes/markings to improve visibility and safety.
Compatible with 14500 (supplied), and AA batteries, makes it very easy to have back up power for this small and convenient headlamp.
The headlamp is made from heat treated aluminum for strength, and is rated to IP68 weather resistance (submersion for 2 metres) it is also drop tested to 1.5 metres.

Choice of Cool or High CRI Beams, with Dual Battery options 14500/AA
By offering a two color temperatures, you can have a choice of the more powerful 1000 lumens (in Turbo) Cool White emitter, which is around 6500K, and features a super wide 110° flood beam. The High CRI model is a 519A Neutral White, with a high CRI of >90 and a color temperature of 5000K, which is close to daylight. Output is 650 lumens (range 86m) on the High CRI version; it offers improved color reproduction and a beam of 100°.
Both models have 5 power levels including an ultra low of 5 lumens, and an SOS mode for emergency use. Body color is black for the CRI and Gray for the Cool White version.
Acebeam have worked hard on ensuring the beam profile is uniform, and smooth giving a large coverage of the area, yet able to reach reasonable distances at the same time.
The headband not only features reflective areas and markings, it is designed for a superior fit and comfort, with holes to allow air to circulate. It can also be washed when required.
By accepting both 14500 cells and the very common and easy to find AA ones (including Alkaline and Ni-MH rechargeable versions). It is very easy to stock up on extra cells for even longer run times, or if you are away for extended periods.
Single Switch for easy operation
The large switch makes for a very simple UI experience, as it can control the 5 power levels and strobe mode (SOS). It also features a lock-out to prevent accidental operation.
Charging the supplied 14500 cell (920mAh) is via the built in type C port, this also features charging indicators (red/green) and is a protected cell which can’t be overcharged or discharged. It also has a low voltage warning.
A durable two way clip is also supplied, so you can attach it to bags/clothing and use it as a right angle flashlight.
The H16 is made from heat treated anodized aluminum HAIII type, which resists marks and damage. It’s been tested to IP68 water resistance for 2 metres submersion, and also drop tested (1.5 metres). The glass cover is also tempered, and features an anti reflective coating for maximum light transmission (99.6%).
This small but powerful headlamp is a great choice for those who want to use a light for running, camping, or work environments without tiring yourself out with a larger and heavier headlamp. Yet it can run for as long as 58 hours (ultra low 5 lumens).
