The ARCHON D36V II Professional Diving Photography HD Diving Light is an advanced and versatile lighting solution designed to meet the rigorous demands of underwater photographers and videographers. This multifunction diving light combines powerful illumination, durable construction, and user-friendly features, making it an essential tool for both technical and recreational diving.
The D36V II is equipped with a combination of high-performance LEDs to provide a wide range of lighting options. It features eight CREE XM-L2 LEDs that produce a warm white light with a color temperature ranging from 4800K to 5200K and a maximum output of 6000 lumens. This intense light output ensures excellent visibility and vibrant color reproduction, essential for capturing high-quality underwater images and videos. The light operates in multiple modes, allowing divers to adjust the brightness to suit different shooting conditions. In high mode, the white light offers bright illumination for up to 90 minutes. The medium and low modes extend the runtime to 180 and 210 minutes, respectively, providing flexibility for longer dives.
In addition to the white LEDs, the D36V II includes four red LEDs (13W), two UV LEDs (6W), and two blue LEDs (6W). The red light is particularly useful for night dives and close-up photography, as it reduces disturbance to marine life and helps capture the natural colors of underwater subjects. The UV and blue lights enhance the visibility of fluorescent marine life and underwater structures, adding a creative dimension to underwater photography. The red light has a runtime of 210 minutes, while the UV and blue lights can operate for up to 300 minutes, ensuring long-lasting performance.
One of the standout features of the ARCHON D36V II is its no hotspot design and glossy aluminum reflector, which ensure even and consistent light distribution across a wide 110-degree beam angle. This broad beam is perfect for capturing large scenes and providing comprehensive illumination, reducing the need for multiple light sources. The light's lens is made from 5mm tempered glass, which is highly durable and resistant to impacts, ensuring clear light transmission and protection of the internal components.
Constructed from durable aircraft-grade aluminum, the body of the D36V II is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of underwater use. The surface is treated with premium type III hard-anodizing, providing excellent resistance to corrosion and physical wear. This robust construction ensures that the light remains functional and maintains its appearance even after extensive exposure to saltwater. The light is finished in a sleek black color, adding to its professional appearance.
Powering the D36V II are four 18650 Li-ion batteries (not included). The advanced battery system includes protections against over-discharging and polarity reversing, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The operational voltage ranges from 4.2V to 2.8V, maintaining stable performance throughout the battery’s discharge cycle. This robust power system guarantees consistent illumination for the duration of your dive.
The light is designed for ease of use and handling underwater. Its dimensions are 141.5mm in length, with a light head diameter of 62.5mm and a body diameter of 50.2mm. Weighing approximately 471 grams without the battery and 655 grams with the battery, the flashlight is manageable and easy to maneuver underwater. The underwater weight is around 320 grams with the battery, providing minimal buoyancy and ensuring comfortable handling.
Waterproof up to a depth of 100 meters, the D36V II is suitable for deep-sea diving and various underwater activities. Its robust waterproof design ensures reliable performance even in the most challenging conditions, allowing divers to focus on their tasks without worrying about their equipment.
