The body of the Fenix ​​E09R is made entirely of A6061-T6 aeronautical aluminum with a type III HA semi-gloss anodized finish that makes it resistant to wear and scratches .. There are 5 modes to choose from: Moonlight of 3 lumens and 70h of autonomy, Low of 25 lumens and 16h of autonomy, Medium of 100 lumens and 4h of autonomy, High of 300 lumens and 1h 30min of autonomy and Burst of 600 lumens. From flashlight off: press and hold the switch to turn on the flashlight on the last level previously used (Memory Mode). Press and hold to activate Burst mode, double click instead to activate the electronic lock From flashlight on: long press on the switch to access Burst mode, while single click to switch from one mode to another in the order (Moonlight - Low - Mid - High). The Fenix ​​E09R also has a low battery warning which is activated when the cell reaches a voltage of less than 3 Volts: the brightness will decrease until the flashlight is turned off. There is also the electronic interface lock which is activated when the light is off with a double click on the switch within 0.5 seconds.

The light will flash twice consecutively in Moonlight mode to confirm that the lock was successful. To unlock the flashlight just repeat the double click on the switch and the light will turn on in Moonlight mode. The Fenix ​​E09R is powered by a non-removable internal 800mAh lithium-ion rechargeable cell. It is resistant to water and dust according to the IP68 standard, therefore submersible up to 2 meters deep, while the drop resistance is 1 meter in height.
