The Fenix ​​GL19R is a tactical flashlight born and developed exclusively to be mounted on a weapon. It is capable of producing a maximum output of 1200 lumens with a maximum reachable distance of 210 meters. The Fenix ​​GL19R is equipped with a Luminus SFT40 with a life of 50,000 hours. Inside the package, Fenix ​​provides a rechargeable lithium-ion cell model Fenix ​​ARM-L18-1100P. The design of the GL19R allows installation on universal Glock or Picatinny rails. It is equipped with a QD lever that allows quick coupling and release to the gun sled. Among the available options there is the possibility of activating the instant strobe essential in tactical applications.

The GL19R has two identical switches placed one on the right and one on the left, this allows the use of the flashlight both with the right hand and with the left hand indifferently. The battery can be recharged via the type-c charging port located on the flashlight. The entire flashlight is made of A6061-T6 type aeronautical aluminum alloy and has a hard anodized finish of type HA III which guarantees high strength, resistance to oxidation and abrasion.

The dimensions of the flashlight are 3.04 "x 1.35" x 1.19 "/ 77.3 mm x 34.2mm x 30.2 mm while the weight is only 3.53oz / 100g including battery. There are two output levels: the 1200 lumens Turbo with 1 hour duration and 210 meters of maximum range; the second level is the High 350 lumens level with 2 hours of autonomy and a maximum range of 110 meters. On the flashlight there is also an LED battery STATUS indicator: every time the flashlight is turned on it will indicate the battery charge level: if the light is steady green it means that the charge is between 100% and 85%, if the light flashes green it means that the charge is between 85% and 50%, if the red light is fixed at 50% -25% while if the light flashes red it means that the charge is between 25% and 1% . The charge level indication mode is reliable only when using the supplied ARB-L18-1100P rechargeable 18350 lithium ion cell.

The user interface is very simple and intuitive: the two switches being ambidextrous work exactly the same way and can be activated with both the right and left hand depending on how the weapon is held. Single click on the switch to turn the flashlight on or off. If the light is off, a long press of the switch will turn on the flashlight instantly, then when the switch is released the light will turn off. When the light is on or off, press and hold one of the two switches and click on the other switch to switch from one output level to the other. To instantly access the STrobo when the light is on, press and hold one of the two switches for 0.5 seconds to momentarily access the strobe. The lockout function is also available which locks the user interface by holding the switches pressed down for 5 seconds, the light will flash twice to indicate that the lock was successful. Repeat the operation to unlock the interface.
