The Olight Marauder 2 is a searchlight with incredible power and a can design. In fact, it has a Turbo of 14000 lumens with a maximum reachable distance of 800 meters. Its user interface provides 7 different output levels and a 6400 lumens 13hz stroboscopic level.
Among its main features is the combination of two different types of lenses: there is a series of TIR lenses that produce a wide and diffused beam, ideal for short and medium distances and to illuminate large spaces. In addition to this the Olight Marauder 2 has a convex lens that produces an extremely directive beam that reaches a distance of 800 meters. This beam is characterized by a fully focused spot, there is in fact no light scattering on the spill.
The maximum brightness of the two beams is 50600 cd for the Flood beam and 160000 cd for the Spot beam
The Olight Marauder 2 has a USB-C charging interface on the tail. To access the charging port, the user must unscrew the tail ring. The USB-C port is bidirectional with a maximum power of 30W in and out. If necessary, the Olight MArauder 2 wing can be used as a power bank, for example for charging a smartphone.
Inside the Olight Marauder 2 there is a temperature sensor that decreases the brightness if the temperature rises too much: this prevents damage to electronic components and batteries, increases safety and improves usability.
On the front there is also a proximity sensor that automatically decreases the brightness of the flashlight if an obstacle is too close in front of it.
The Olight Marauder 2 is powered by a non-removable battery pack made up of three 5000mAh 21700 lithium-ion rechargeable cells which guarantees a maximum autonomy of 59 hours.
The switch is rotating and can be pressed to turn the flashlight on and off and rotated left and right to increase the brightness of the flood or throw beam respectively.
Blue status LEDs located to the right and left of the rotary switch provide information on the selected charging level (right) and information on the selected output level (left). A central status LED, on the other hand, lights up red when the battery level is low, thus informing the user that it is time to charge the flashlight.
To switch from one mode to another (Flood or Spot) there is a small selector positioned under the rotating switch: just push it up to activate the Flood beam or push it down to activate the Spot beam
A little below this selector we find the attachment for lanyard or small carabiners.
The Olight Marauder 2 is a water resistant flashlight according to the IPX8 standard and is resistant to drops up to 1 meter in height.
The deep dissipation fins allow the flashlight to disperse the heat produced by the LEDs when the flashlight is used on high levels.
The body is made of aluminum alloy and there is the presence of two rubber inserts in the handle that increase grip and ensure a firm grip in any condition. The bezel protecting the lens is particularly protruding and laced.
The dimensions are 140mm long, 79mm head diameter and 54mm body diameter. So the Olight Marauder 2 is a little bigger than a normal can of Coca Cola.
