The RovyVon Aurora A23 (G2) is the natural evolution of the previous first generation Aurora A23 version announced in 2019. The A23 (G2) follows the lines of the previous version but extends its potential and improves its features. The dimensions of the Aurora A23 (G2) are similar to the previous version and are even slightly smaller, the battery has been increased in capacity to allow for runtime and output levels that could last longer. The dimensions are 76 mm (length) x 21.5 mm (diameter) so it means that the flashlight fits comfortably inside the palm of a hand, while the weight is 44.7 g / 1.58 oz. The capacity of the pass cell is extended by 41.6% compared to the first generation version reaching 850 mAh of capacity: this allows for example to have a Turbo mode with a runtime of 100 minutes (with step down). Now the new Aurora A23 (G2) has been equipped with a Type-C charging interface that allows fast charging of the internal cell. The charging port is located in the queue and is well protected by a small rubber cap that prevents water and dirt from penetrating inside. The management of the interface is entrusted to two small metal switches placed laterally on the body of the flashlight. They are surrounded by two metal bezel rings and are slightly recessed within a groove on the body. These two switches are very responsive, easy to spot even in total darkness or if you are wearing gloves. Between the two switches there is a small colored status LED (RGB): it lights up green when the battery is fully charged, lights up blue during the charging phase and lights up red to indicate that the battery is low. The double switch makes this flashlight ideal for daily use: it is in fact possible to use the light both in constant mode but it is also possible to have direct access to Turbo and STrobe. Thanks to the double switch design it is also very simple to electronically lock the interface, there will be no conflict with the momentary on (instant Turbo). The RovyVon Aurora A23 (G2) is available for sale in two different configurations: there is the model equipped with high power Cree XP-L LED and the model equipped with Nicha 219C LED with high color rendering index (High CRI). The interface is very simple and easy to remember thanks to the two electronic switches the A23 G2 is equipped with: With the torch off, a click on the TOP switch will turn on the light directly on the Moonlight level and a further click will turn it off. With the torch off, keep the Top switch pressed for 5 seconds to lock the interface, press the bottom switch for 3 seconds to unlock the interface. With the flashlight off, press and hold the bottom switch to turn on the light in momentary mode, then release the switch to turn off the light. Double click on the Top Switch to turn on the light on the stored level and further click to switch to a different output level by scrolling between Low, Mid, High, Turbo. double click on the bottom switch to access the Strobo directly. From the torch on, instead, long press on one of the two switches to turn off the light. If, on the other hand, the flashlight has been on for more than three minutes, a simple click is enough to turn it off.

Being a compact EDC flashlight, easy-to-carry is an essential factor. People complained about the screw-fixed pocket clip of the 1st gen Aurora A23, you were heard, on the 2nd gen, we redesigned the clip to make it detachable, and yes, reversible. One more thing, it’s magnetic for hands-free work if needed.

At the tail part, there’s a lanyard loop, you can weave a paracord the way you like to pull it out of the pocket or just attach it to your keys through the loop. Plus, around the corner of the loop, there’re two standard tritium vial slots to fit 6.0mm*1.5mm tritium glow bars, and the view angle is wider than the 1st gen.

The durability is also a key point for an EDC Flashlight, the A23 was made of 6063 aluminum that is lightweight and relatively durable. In its compact size, it can withstand a 1.5m impact drop. If you drop it into the water or use it on a rainy day, don't worry, it's IPX8 water resistant that could survive underwater for 2m for half hour.
