Die Acebeam P17 ist eine taktische Taschenlampe, die ausschließlich für den Einsatz durch Polizei und Polizeikräfte oder in taktischen Umgebungen entwickelt wurde. Sie ist mit einer CREE XHP70.3 HI 6500K LED der neuesten Generation mit einer maximalen Lichtleistung von 4900 Lumen, einer maximalen Strahlintensität von 49506 cd und einer maximalen Reichweite von 445 Metern ausgestattet. Der hocheffiziente integrierte Schaltkreis sorgt für eine stets stabile Stromzufuhr und damit eine konstante Lichtleistung über die gesamte Batterielebensdauer. Bei Verwendung der niedrigsten Lichtleistung kann die Taschenlampe 20 Tage lang mit konstanter Lichtleistung leuchten, bis die Zellenkapazität erschöpft ist. Die Acebeam P17 wird mit einer 5100 mAh 21700-Zelle geliefert, die im Lieferumfang des Modells IMR21700NP-510A Typ-C enthalten ist und über eine Typ-C-Ladeschnittstelle verfügt. Daher sind keine speziellen Ladegeräte zum Laden der Zelle erforderlich, sondern ein beliebiges Standard-Typ-C-Kabel, wie es zum Aufladen von Smartphones verwendet wird, genügt. Am gleichen Akku befindet sich zudem seitlich am Pluspol eine kleine LED-Statusanzeige: So kann der Nutzer erkennen, wann der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist oder noch läuft.

Die Lünette zum Schutz der Linse besteht aus Edelstahl und verfügt über drei Keramikkugeln, die in Notsituationen effektiv als Glasbrecher eingesetzt werden können. Die Linse besteht aus ultraklarem, sehr dickem Mineralglas mit Antireflexbeschichtung. Der Reflektor besteht aus Aluminium und ist mit einer Orangenhautbehandlung versehen, um einen sauberen und gleichmäßigen Lichtstrahl zu erzeugen.

Die Schnittstellenverwaltung wird durch zwei in der Warteschlange angeordnete Schalter gewährleistet, mit denen Sie die gewünschte Stufe sehr schnell und präzise auswählen können und die für die sofortige Aktivierung von Strobo oder Turbo verwendet werden, ideal in taktischen Situationen. Der Gürtelclip besteht aus Edelstahl und ist zweiseitig: Die Taschenlampe kann daher sowohl mit dem Kopf nach oben als auch mit dem Kopf nach unten an Kleidung, Rucksäcken und Gürteln befestigt werden.

Das Gehäuse der Acebeam P17 besteht vollständig aus A6061-T6-Aluminium mit einer hartanodisierten Oberfläche Typ III, die kratzfest, verschleißfest und wetterbeständig ist. Die Wasserdichtigkeit entspricht dem IP68-Standard und ist somit bis zu einer Tiefe von 2 Metern tauchfähig, obwohl es sich nicht um eine Unterwasserlampe handelt. Die Fallfestigkeit beträgt 1,5 Meter. Die Abmessungen betragen 147 x 41 x 26 mm (5,79 x 1,61 x 1,02 Zoll), das Gewicht 227 g (mit Batterie) bzw. 154 g (ohne Batterie).

Es gibt drei Nutzungsmodi: den Alltagsmodus für den alltäglichen Gebrauch und zwei Taktikmodi: Taktikmodus 1 und Taktikmodus 2 für den Einsatz in taktischen Umgebungen und Situationen. Die Stufen sind wie folgt unterteilt: Für den Alltagsmodus gibt es Ultra-Low, Low, Med, High, Turbo. Für Taktikmodus 1 hingegen: Ultra-Low, Low, Med, High, Turbo. Für Taktikmodus 2 hingegen: Ultra-Low, Low, High.
