Die Klarus CL2 ist eine multifunktionale Laterne mit vielen interessanten Funktionen. Sie besteht aus vier beweglichen Teilen, die sich in jede Richtung um 90° drehen lassen. So entsteht ein 360°-Licht, als wäre die Lampe ein kleiner Kronleuchter. Vier Stufen sind wählbar: niedriges Licht mit 30 Lumen warmem Licht, mittleres Licht mit 150 Lumen warmem Licht, hohes Licht mit 750 Lumen warmem Licht und hohes Licht mit 750 Lumen kaltem Licht. Die Beleuchtung kann in zwei verschiedenen Farben und mit warmem oder kaltem Licht erfolgen. Die Steuerung der Schnittstelle erfolgt über einen einzigen Schalter an der Seite des Lampengehäuses. Mit einem einfachen Klick lassen sich die Stufen in der Reihenfolge niedrig warm, mittel warm, hoch warm und hoch kalt ändern. Im Inneren befindet sich ein 10400-mAh-Akku für lange Laufzeiten. Die Ladeschnittstelle ist vom Typ C und sorgt für ein schnelles Aufladen des internen Akkus. Diese Taschenlampe funktioniert auch als Powerbank, denn sie ist mit einem USB-A-Anschluss ausgestattet, über den Sie jedes elektronische Gerät wie ein Smartphone oder Tablet aufladen können. Im unteren Teil der Taschenlampe befindet sich außerdem eine zusätzliche Leuchte, die einen gerichteten Strahl erzeugt und die Verwendung der Taschenlampe in der Hand ermöglicht. Diese Leuchte kann auch mit einem roten Licht mit einer Wellenlänge von 620–760 nm leuchten. Dieses rote Licht ist aus einer Entfernung von Hunderten von Metern sichtbar und kann dazu verwendet werden, die Sicherheit bei Nacht zu erhöhen und im Dunkeln gesehen zu werden, beispielsweise in Notsituationen. Neben der Taschenlampe enthält das Paket auch ein Typ-C-Ladekabel, die Bedienungsanleitung, einen Adapter für iOS-Geräte und eine Tragetasche. Die Leistungsstufen sind wie folgt unterteilt: Starkes Kaltlicht mit 750 Lumen und 4 Stunden und 45 Minuten Laufzeit, Starkes Warmlicht mit 750 Lumen und 4 Stunden und 45 Minuten Laufzeit, Mittleres Warmlicht mit 150 Lumen und 12 Stunden Laufzeit, Schwaches Warmlicht mit 30 Lumen und 60 Stunden Laufzeit, 100 Lumen Licht mit 18 Stunden Laufzeit, 1712 Kerzen und 83 m Entfernung, 100 Lumen SOS und blinkendes rotes Licht. Die Wasserbeständigkeit entspricht dem IPX5-Standard, während die Fallfestigkeit bis zu 1 m Höhe gewährleistet ist. Kaltes Licht hat eine Farbtemperatur von 6000 K, warmes Licht eine Farbtemperatur von 3000 K. Das Gehäuse besteht aus ABS + PC-Material. Das Gewicht beträgt 420 Gramm inklusive Batterie. Die intelligente Temperaturregelung hält die Taschenlampe zwischen 40 und 50 °C. Die Batteriekapazitätsanzeige gibt Auskunft über die Zellenkapazität. Bei einer Zellenkapazität von über 99 % leuchten vier LEDs. Bei einer Zellenkapazität zwischen 76 % und 99 % leuchten vier Anzeigen und die vierte blinkt langsam. Bei einer Zellenkapazität zwischen 51 % und 75 % leuchten drei Anzeigen und die dritte blinkt langsam. Bei einer Zellenkapazität zwischen 26 % und 50 % leuchten zwei LEDs und die zweite blinkt. Bei einer Zellenkapazität unter 25 % blinkt nur eine LED.
