Die Nextorch iStar ist eine kleine und leichte Stirnlampe, die dank des neu gestalteten Schalters und ihres innovativen Designs, das zwei verschiedene Arten von Spot- und Flutlichtstrahl sowie das Vorhandensein einer roten LED garantiert, ein völlig neues Erlebnis bietet.

Der Punktstrahl kann über den Dimmerschalter von 20 Lumen auf 450 Lumen eingestellt werden. Die Leuchtdauer variiert zwischen 21 Stunden bei 20 Lumen und 2,5 Stunden bei 450 Lumen. Die maximale Reichweite beträgt 80 m bei einer maximalen Lichtintensität von 1600 Candela. Der Flutlichtstrahl hingegen bietet zwei verschiedene Leistungsstufen: eine niedrige Leistung mit 14 Lumen und 15 Stunden Laufzeit bei einer Reichweite von 4 m oder 5 Candela und eine hohe Leistung mit 105 Lumen und einer Laufzeit von 2 Stunden und 45 Minuten bei einer Reichweite von 13 Minuten und 40 Candela. Es gibt auch eine zusätzliche rote LED, mit der es möglich ist, eine hohe Lichtstärke von 14 Lumen und 15 Stunden Autonomie oder eine Blitzlichtstärke mit 14 Lumen und 25 Stunden Autonomie zu verwenden. Die Abmessungen dieser Leuchte betragen 67 mm Länge x 39 mm Breite x 32 mm Höhe. Das Gewicht ist sehr gering und beträgt inklusive Akku nur 70 Gramm. Die Nextorch iStar wird von einem internen wiederaufladbaren Lithium-Ionen-Akku mit 1100 mAh betrieben. Das Aufladen erfolgt über die entsprechende Typ-C-Ladeschnittstelle an der Taschenlampe. Ein Ladezyklus ist in 1,5 Stunden abgeschlossen. Der Schnittstellenverwaltungsschalter befindet sich im oberen Teil der Taschenlampe und ermöglicht den Zugriff auf alle verfügbaren Funktionen. Im Inneren befindet sich eine kleine Status-LED, die dauerhaft blau oder rot leuchtet oder blinkt: Wenn sie dauerhaft blau leuchtet, bedeutet dies, dass die Kapazität der Zelle zwischen 75 % und 100 % liegt, wenn sie blau blinkt, bedeutet dies, dass die verbleibende Zellkapazität zwischen 50 % und 75 % liegt, wenn sie dauerhaft rot leuchtet, bedeutet dies, dass die Zellkapazität zwischen 25 % und 50 % liegt, während wenn sie rot blinkend leuchtet, bedeutet dies, dass die Zellkapazität weniger als 25 % beträgt und die Batterie aufgeladen werden muss, um die Taschenlampe weiter verwenden zu können.

Das mitgelieferte Band ist elastisch und besonders weich und ermöglicht eine lange Nutzung der Taschenlampe. Die Taschenlampe besteht aus PC + ABS-Material und ist daher besonders stoß-, kratz- und wetterbeständig. Sie ist wasserdicht nach IPX4-Standard und bis zu einer Höhe von 1 m stoßfest. Das besondere Design dieser Taschenlampe ermöglicht den Wechsel von einem voll ausrichtbaren Punktstrahl zu einem Flutlichtstrahl mit nur einem Klick. Durch Drücken des Knopfes oberhalb der Taschenlampe in der Nähe des Schalters öffnet sich der Kopf der Taschenlampe und ermöglicht den Wechsel von Flutlicht zu Punktlicht.
