Die Nextorch K40 ist eine leichte und kompakte multifunktionale EDC-Taschenlampe. Sie ist leicht zu tragen und ideal, um sie immer bei sich zu haben, zum Beispiel in der Tasche oder im Schlüsselbund, und stets einsatzbereit. Diese Taschenlampe hat vier verschiedene LEDs: weiß, rot, blau und ultraviolett und erzeugt eine maximale Lichtleistung von 300 Lumen bei einer maximalen Reichweite von 78 m mit dem weißen Hauptlicht. Die stroboskopische Stufe erzeugt stattdessen eine Lichtleistung von 700 Lumen. Diese Taschenlampe hat einen internen wiederaufladbaren Lithium-Ionen-Akku mit 180 mAh. Der interne Akku kann über die seitliche Ladeschnittstelle Typ C aufgeladen werden. Die Abmessungen sind äußerst kompakt: 73 mm (Länge) x 16,5 mm (Kopfdurchmesser) x 16,5 mm (Körperdurchmesser), während das Gewicht sehr gering ist: nur 17 g inklusive Akku. Die Wasserbeständigkeit wird durch den IPX4-Standard gewährleistet, während die Fallfestigkeit aus einer Höhe von 1 Meter gewährleistet ist. Das Gehäuse der Taschenlampe besteht aus einer Aluminiumlegierung und PC (Polymermaterial mit hoher Festigkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit). Die Steuerung erfolgt über zwei seitliche Schalter. Mit ihnen lässt sich die Lichtquelle zwischen weiß, rot, blau und ultravioletter LED umstellen und die verschiedenen Helligkeitsstufen regeln. Das rote Licht eignet sich als Signal- oder Notlicht und wird auch von der Polizei oder bei Hilfesuchenden eingesetzt. Mit ultraviolettem Licht lassen sich gefälschte Banknoten erkennen, unsichtbare Flecken auf der Kleidung hervorheben oder Ausweisdokumente überprüfen. Das leistungsstarke weiße Licht hingegen eignet sich für alle alltäglichen Anlässe. Diese kleine Taschenlampe wird mit einem Stahlclip geliefert, mit dem sie an Hüten und Rucksäcken befestigt oder sicher am Gürtel getragen werden kann. An der Öffnung am Ende der Taschenlampe kann auch ein Schlüsselring befestigt werden.

Die Leistungsstufen sind wie folgt aufgeteilt: Stroboskop mit 700 Lumen für weißes Licht, hohe Leistung im Modus 300 Lumen (weißes Licht) mit einer Laufzeit von 1 Stunde bei einer maximalen Strahldistanz von 78 Metern und einer maximalen Lichtintensität von 1520 Kerzen; Mittlere Stufe (weißes Licht) mit 50 Lumen mit einer Laufzeit von einer Stunde und 30 Minuten, bei einer maximalen Strahldistanz von 30 Metern, maximaler Lichtintensität von 232 Kerzen; Niedrige Stufe (weißes Licht) mit 10 Lumen mit einer Laufzeit von 9 Stunden und 15 Minuten, maximal erreichbarer Distanz von 12 Metern und maximaler Lichtintensität von 40 Kerzen; Rotes/UV-Licht mit einer maximalen Dauer von mehr als 4 Stunden bei Dauerlicht; Rot/Blaue Blinkstufe mit einer maximalen Dauer von mehr als 19 Stunden.
