Das Nitecore Ci4 ist ein multifunktionales Mehrkanal-Ladegerät mit unabhängigen Kanälen, mit dem 4 verschiedene Akkus schnell und gleichzeitig geladen werden können. Es ist mit allen Arten von zylindrischen Akkus kompatibel, sowohl Ni-MH / Ni-Cd Typ AA, AAA, AAAA, C und D als auch Lithium-IMR / Li-Ionen-Akkus vom Typ 10440, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340 (RCR123), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 17700, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 18700, 21700, 22500, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650, 26700.

Zur Stromversorgung des Nitecore Ci4 kann jedes beliebige USB-Netzteil über das mitgelieferte Typ-C-Kabel verwendet werden.

Das Ci4 verfügt über vier unabhängige Kanäle und ist vollautomatisch, einfach und intuitiv zu bedienen. Beim Einlegen eines Akkus prüft das Ladegerät zunächst den Zustand der Zelle, um den Akkutyp (z. B. Ni-MH oder Lithium) zu bestimmen. Anschließend prüft es die Zellenkapazität und stellt die optimalen Ladeparameter ein.

Während des Ladevorgangs blinken die LED-Statusanzeigen und zeigen so den Ladezustand des Akkus an. Liegt der vom Ladegerät eingestellte Ladestrom über 1 Ampere, leuchtet die rote Status-LED und signalisiert so den aktiven Schnelllademodus. Nach Abschluss des Ladevorgangs leuchten die drei grünen Status-LEDs konstant.

Das Nitecore Ci4 ist ein sicheres Ladegerät, da es über einen Schutz gegen Verpolung und Kurzschlüsse verfügt: Wenn der Benutzer beispielsweise eine Batterie falsch einlegt, blinken alle LEDs (3 grüne und 1 rote) gleichzeitig, um das Problem zu melden.

Das Nitecore Ci4 wählt automatisch den am besten geeigneten Ladestrom für den eingelegten Akkutyp, indem es beim Einlegen in das Ladegerät den Zellentyp und die Kapazität prüft. Das Ci4 ist mit 3,6/3,7 V Lithiumzellen und 1,2 V Ni-MH/Ni-Cd-Zellen kompatibel.

Das Ci4 kann auch über QC/PD-Netzteile mit Strom versorgt werden: In diesem Fall ist ein maximaler Ladestrom von 3000 mA auf dem einzelnen Steckplatz möglich.

Zu den Funktionen des Ci4 gehört auch die Möglichkeit, einen Schutzkreis gegen übermäßige Entladung von Zellen mit blockierter Schutzschaltung zu aktivieren: Nach der Installation testet das Ladegerät die Batterie vor dem erneuten Laden und wenn sie beschädigt ist, wird der Benutzer dank der 4 LEDs gewarnt, die gleichzeitig am verwendeten Steckplatz blinken.

Die Nitecore Ci4 verfügt außerdem über eine Energiesparfunktion, die alle LEDs ausschaltet, wenn keine Akkus eingelegt sind. Dank Überladeschutz werden die Akkus zudem nicht überladen: Dies verlängert die Lebensdauer der Zellen und gewährleistet sicheres Laden. Überhitzung und mögliche Explosionen aufgrund minderwertiger oder beschädigter Akkus werden vermieden. Die Nitecore Ci4 ist RoHS-, CE-, FCC- und CEC-zertifiziert.

Es besteht aus schwer entflammbarem Kunststoff und ist so konstruiert, dass die während der Ladephase entstehende Wärme stets optimal abgeleitet wird.
